i'm not talking about his logic, i'm talking about yours. it'll illogical to think he's gonna leave the place he wanted to be if he wins there. he was trying to get to l.a. since he was a spur. jesus christ with this whole speech you just gave. just say "i didn't know how much he wanted to be in l.a. for reasons outside of basketball" see how easy that is. i wasn't trying to insult you.
You still are conflating reasoning with logic. He may prioritize being in LA over legacy so his reasoning would be to stay in LA whether he wins with the Clips or not either by staying with the Clips or going to the Lakers.
If that is the case this would be 'logical' in his 'reasoning' according to his values, or priorities. If he prioritized being at home over legacy and left LA to come to the Knicks to try and win one this would support my stated scenario but would be 'illogical' in his 'reasoning' according to his values.
Reasoning doesn't have to be logical and it doesn't even have to be based on someones values/priorities. You are assuming you know what his priorities will be of he wins a title with the Clippers. The past isn't always a predictor of the future and people change so consider that.
Not saying I know what he will do or wants but I think for the Knicks to get Kawhi as a FA the best possibility comes from him winning in LA with the Clips because if he loses and wants to bail he probably goes to the Lakers because he's not mentally prepared to be in NY as a Knick.
He may want preferential star treatment to come to the Knicks and the FO won't do it that way so he won't come. All speculation but it's possible, who knows. Of course I don't know his mindset now or in the future, I'm just looking at legacy but that may not be his priority.
Oh...and someone with over 100k posts on here needs to STFU about speeches....
I'm going to explain my point any way I want.
did you really double down on this ? my god. my guy, it's light here man. we all been here a long time, there's no reason to act like this. calm down
"my logic's not faulty, in fact you don't even understand the definition of logic. let me explain it to you in 6 different contradictory ways " jesus

So you don't understand the difference between logic and reasoning but want to project 'calm down' onto me? That's pretty hilarious. Nothing contradictory about what I wrote, it just seems you aren't understanding my point.
If your assumption that being in socal is his priority then it doesn't matter whether he wins or loses with the Clips, he's not coming to NY. So this makes any hope for it fruitless and your own reasoning 'faulty logic' that failure with the Clips makes it more likely he does come to the Knicks.
So.....think it through my man before you even try.

If you'd rather see your team fail so you can be right
...you are a fan of your opinion not the team.
