It's certainly provocative language that I wouldn't use. I'd just rather enforce the laws and keep them out. I don't know what's white supremacy about that. A standard every other nation on Earth has, can't possibly be white supremacy. Can it?

There is no religious freedom if people are being forced to do things that go against their religion. We've been down this road with cakes and such, and the atheists were up in arms. Again, America was founded by Christians, for Christians. As people disobey God, the founders gave us enough rope to hang ourselves. We are free to change America into something totally different.

Let's just acknowledge that is what we would be doing. When someone like Ibram Kendi says that we should have a race ayatollah stand above the constitution to change any law that he deems won't create racial equity, let's just acknowledge that this is something new, something atheist in nature, and antithetical to what America is.

I mean the double talk is strange. On the one hand, America was founded in abhorrent Christian values like racism and slavery, but depending on the mood of the leftist, America becomes a clearly secular nation founded with these wonderful secular/atheist values. Surely we wouldn't have all this work to do to create 'equity' if America was founded on the leftist's conception of equity.

America was founded by good Christian people who, no different from today, were bound by the circumstances they found themselves in. Slavery was a worldwide practice that was ENDED by the British. The British who founded America fought a war to free people who were distinctly different from them. Who does that? Why? You really think today's race hustlers would fight a war to save even 'their own people', let alone 'the enemy'?

This is special behavior. America is a special nation. And still is. We know this because millions flee from their own countries and risk their lives, just to be a part of the greatest nation ever created. Those are the facts. And I can assure you that NO ONE who speaks negatively about America will ever leave. They'll be right here enjoying everything the founders and those that came before created. Clarence Thomas adheres to the constitution with his rulings. He's an incredible supreme court judge. I've already made it clear that as long as a code of ethics means not accepting lavish gifts, then I'm for it. but you never know what will actually be proposed. This is why I can't go by just a headline.

A few things on that. One, they conveniently omit that Trump was 5 years graduated and his father would have controlled the business, and two, and more illuminating for me is that it makes no sense to assume that racism or hate was behind any difference of treatment.

Whether Fred had any animus towards black people, your can be sure he has a preference for money. So any preference he showed for one group over another would have been based in reputation, past experience or perhaps the biases of other tenants and the need to keep them happy and renting.

Seriously, this is just another example of how completely broken the system is. As a journalist they drilled into your head that you can't even accept a free lunch from anyone you're dealing with in a professional capacity. And yet, just because it isn't explicitly outlined in a specific code of ethics, somebody who is apparently intelligent enough to graduate from law school can't figure out that accepting lavish and expensive "gifts" from billionaires whose cases and causes he could rule on is deeply, deeply unethical?

I work in pharma. I don't work in the field or anything but even I have to undergo training that forbids me from accepting free meals or gifts from anyone we're doing business with.

It's crazy how there are higher ethical standards for private sector employees compared to the judges on Supreme Court of The United States. Who have none.

And frankly, I'll be honest. I don't think Thomas is the only one. I think all 9 of them have been accepting free stuff.

This shouldn't be a partisan issue.
