Might as well trade Brunson

I believe the Lakers used the pick that Dallas wanted to trade for Williams.

Nico got played so badly

Scary if True

I read an article in Yahoo sports about 5 reasons why the Mavs traded Luka. Reason #5 is actually very scary:

It was announced that the Adelsons bought the team and Cuban would be heavily involved in decision making forever.
Now Cuban is sitting on the sidelines selling peanuts at games

Keep in mind, the Adelsons are the Oligarchs of sports betting in Vegas. <-- don't forget this

The Mavs said they wanted only AD, for defense, even though AD is more injured than Luka, he's much older, and Luka was getting better at defense. They also refused to ask around the league for highest big on Luka. For AD? A guy who really doesn't move the needle that much all by himself? And this trade was obviously NOT at the request of any players. They also said Luka would have wanted a super-Max. Well, he's a bargain at that level.

Remember the Adelsons and betting in Las Vegas? Good. They also tried to get the Texas governor to sponsor sports betting in Texas, but the legislature was NOT on board. It was a no-go.

So the Adelsons are merely using this trade to mess up the Mavs. They are threatenting to move the franchise to Las Vegas, where the NBA wants a presence.

Ruin the Mavs, either go to Las Vegas (upsetting Texas), or get sports betting controlled by the Adelsons.

The Adelsons are playing the long game and don't give a shyt about the Mavs. They just want to run sports betting in Texas.

Possible? It's freaking upsetting, because if this is true, it has NOTHING to do with basketball, except for the uber rich using basketball as a pawn in a bigger game.

I’m here in Texas and have been paying attention to the situation. The governor and a few politicians have been on board with sports gambling from the beginning. The Governor is lobbying for it, commercials are being run to get the public on board, and the land has already been purchased. It inevitable and I doubt the trade had anything to do with this particular issue

I read Mavs fans are making death threats and spewing racial slurs towards Nico.

I take back any empathy i had for them. Yeah, what Nico/Mavs ownership did was horrible but nah. That doesn't give you a pass to start calling someone an n word and threatening to kill them.

You have to be a complete loser at life in all facets to do this.

If you don't like how a franchise is operating...LEAVE them behind. Spend your money elsewhere. Find something that makes you happy. No one is forcing them to root for a team run by scumbags.

This would be like me sending death threats to Joe Tsai and Sean Marks. over BASKETBALL?

I mean IMO- we really dont have all of the info. Just take the way Luka deals with the refs and the complaining

exactly...thats how I do it now. I stopped spending money on the knicks in 2018/2019 and stopped watching them too. It's
only a year ago that I felt they deserve my money and time.

Oh, I'm sure Luka might very well be a spoiled brat.

The current Knicks are outliers, as the core of this team for the most part are a bunch of chill guys that play hard. Your average NBA Superstars are more like Luka and Kevin Durant than Jalen Brunson and Karl Anthony Towns.

Even still, what Mavs ownership did, regardless if their motive was to either avoid the luxury tax or something even worse, was dirty. But if fans are gonna start calling Nico the hard R and threaten to kill him over a move signed off on by the Adelson, then f*ck them.

Death threats likely come from a very small minority of Mavericks fans. The whole fanbase is distraught - I don't think it's fair to say they deserve it as a whole for the actions of their worst fans.

It was arguably the worst trade in NBA history - possibly the most corrupt or the most narcissistic, inarguably the most insensitive - and an insult to an entire community. Needless to say, death threats and racist attacks obviously go too far and should be dealt with very swiftly. It's unacceptable. But I also think most of their fans are trying to painfully digest this without crossing these lines. We can empathize with them while also condemning the few who go too far.

I think Harrison should resign immediately. He should have the day after the trade tbh.
