Mark Jackson is a bad coach and he should feel bad.

 So basically you need a perfect team

Big guys who can score in the paint, rebound and defend as well as perimeter defenders who can also shoot

Good luck building that team

Fuq it. BUck the trend you cranky old bat.

I think we're at the top of a crescendo. But I think teams are going to try and emulate what they do instead of trying to stop what they do.. we need to take the approach of stopping what they do not doing what they do better.

The pick is gonna determine a lot of it. If they pick Russell, they're gonna shoot a lot of threes. If they pick Okafor, they're gonna go inside a bunch. If they pick Mudiay, a lot of drive and kick and push the tempo a hair. If they pick Porzingas,
Spoiler:
we're all dead because Monroe is coming
.

Curry gets some notability for being the first guy that can create from the outside to lead a chip team, but they got lucky* with their draws. Cavs were beat up, Clips choked, and Spurs got beat. Those were the teams that could beat them.

*And, for that matter, Steve Nash's Suns got a bit unlucky.

The old you can't win with a ball dominate PG argument took a punch in the stomach tonight. :D

It's funny. A few days ago, LeBron says he's the best player in the world. Today? Klay Thompson says it for Stephen Curry. Real **** right there.

He kind of rubbed me the wrong way in that interview. Did you see what he did when they got up from the table?

I'm leaning Russell now at 4 over Mudiay because of his skill.

He probably does, but he's wrong.

He made that team worse with his "offense"

Usually teams that play that style also aren't the #1 defensive team in the NBA.

We got them next year though. Iguodala cannot guard Melo. Green cannot guard Aldridge. And Russell = Curry.

That was definitely a motivator heading into this Game 6 for him and the Warriors in general.

jealousy... any athlete understands that "an athlete" should believe in himself...and lebron put up numbers in a finals series that no one has ever done in context. Iggy just needs to enjoy his chip and be thankful that Kyrie was injured....

Not necessarily. Those teams with the "ball dominant" point guards are the teams that essentially rely on one point guard to move the ball - I.e. Chris Paul, old deron Williams, Marbury, etc.

The above still remains true because those teams are reliant on them to make plays. Curry isn't necessarily ball dominant because he has other playmakers around him like green and iguodala making plays.

The fewer playmakers, the lower the chance for winning. That's what it boils down to.

Shump and JR was the same players that they were as a Knick. And unfortunately they ain't gonna get it done with Love and Kyrie out. I do think that Cavs are dangerous next season with those two back (if Love is back). The Cavs will destroy the east next season unless a team in the east are able to dramatically improve next season. A lot of people laughing at Lebron now, but getting to 5 straight finals (even in the wack east) is still impressive, and with his play in the finals. Lebron will win another title at some point.

This dude said "arguably the best player in the world"...

Who in the FUQ do these uppity mafuqas think they are??? Put Lebron on Golden State and put Curry on Cleveland and uhhh... you fill in the blanks.

With the way the league is going I'll take my chances.

We're not getting Aldridge & Russell isn't in Curry's stratosphere.

Y'all are gonna have to let reality set in that some of these players just aren't that good as well as we won't be winning sh*t for a long time.

they defend small ball better than anyone.. the rockets had a pretty good 3s and dunks team with one of the best roll and dunk bigs in the game and the best pnr sg in the league... they can't beat the warriors...
