Steph Curry should have won MVP. He was the difference maker for the GSW. I don't see how Iggy won it. My eyes and the stats in this series all point to Steph.

Iggy didn't even really contained Lebron in the series either if u wanna say he played great defense. Lebron averaged 36 ppg.

You think I want that POS mockery of a MJ winning another game? Nah. Iggy may even be a better shooter

MJ never had a finals run like this...If Lebron's team loses and he still gets the MVP- this sh*t is going to be a wrap...either way win or lose he still wins...

Wizardry post. You really nailed the coffen on that prediction

Not necessarily. Those teams with the "ball dominant" point guards are the teams that essentially rely on one point guard to move the ball - I.e. Chris Paul, old deron Williams, Marbury, etc.

The above still remains true because those teams are reliant on them to make plays. Curry isn't necessarily ball dominant because he has other playmakers around him like green and iguodala making plays.

The fewer playmakers, the lower the chance for winning. That's what it boils down to.

Curry has a 29% usage rating.. you're underestimating how much he handles the ball.

And even then.. let's amend what I said with "You can't win a championship with a PG as your best player".. what's your response to that?

They wouldn't have shot enough 3s???

TBH, your boy Payne reminds me a bit of Curry. Maybe Nash too. Ball on a string and can get the shot up quick. Size as a potential barrier.

One of the UGLIEST NBA Finals ever. Just atrocious shot selection by the Warriors. Klay Thompson's $72M guaranteed might be the contract that GS will regret. Without Iggy, this team would have EASILY lost to a one-man team.

The Warriors struggled against a Cavs team missing 2 key contributors. Keep in mind, the East has never stunk this badly...and that's saying A LOT over the last 5-6 seasons. VERY curious to see if Cleveland re-signs Kevin Love.

Coulda gone either way, but Iggy kept the team alive early in the series. Also, LeBron took like 98 shots a game.

Well Magic Johnson and Isiah killed that notion in the 80s.

But fine - curry was heavily utilized, that's fine and dandy. Let's remember why the notion of "can't win with the pg as your best player" exists in the first place.

Remember the guys we refer to and those respective teams?

i was convinced the grizz were on their way to figuring them out but they just had ZERO shooting... if they had anyone reliable they would've beat them...

What is this the six million dollar man?

Teams don't got the funds for all that sh*t, go small or die.

they defend small ball better than anyone.. the rockets had a pretty good 3s and dunks team with one of the best roll and dunk bigs in the game and the best pnr sg in the league... they can't beat the warriors...

I don't really care about moral winners.

Grizzlies defend it well and yet they have sh*t to show for it.

Gasol was actually one of the biggest reasons they lost, he isn't dependable for sh*t & cowers away when the big spotlight comes on for him to lead his team. Big men are less of a commodity these days. Players like Draymond, AD, are gonna rule the NBA, playmaking athletic big men. Those are the guys you need not those slow lumbering big men who can only rebound & defend or just score but are slow.

There really arent any positions left in NBA anymore, the starting 'center' of the champions gets a triple double on the clinching game lol

That doesnt mean Winslow over Mudiay though, get the better skilled guy who also has the higher upside

That was definitely a motivator heading into this Game 6 for him and the Warriors in general.

jealousy... any athlete understands that "an athlete" should believe in himself...and lebron put up numbers in a finals series that no one has ever done in context. Iggy just needs to enjoy his chip and be thankful that Kyrie was injured....

Marbury tried to express that belief in himself and they crucified the living sh*t out of that man.

Yea but Steph created everything for them on offense, and he only had that one bad shooting game. Curry won them that critical game 5 also with clutch shots, while Iggy almost lost that game for them with his horrid ft's, and played equally as good as Iggy in game 6. No way GSW win this series without Curry, while they still might have won it without Iggy. Not hating, but I was so surprise that Curry didn't win it.

Cleveland will at least explore sign-and-trade options with Love. They gave up too much to get him.

They better, if he wants to return of course. They gave up one of the best prospects since Lebron to acquire Love. Walking away empty handed would be a really bad look

Lets not get carried away with these numbers Lebron put up. He was basically given carte blanche with all the injuries, and he shot 39.8% from the field for the series.

He averaged 35.8 PPG on 32.7 shots per game. He did some truly incredible things, but this wasn't a GOAT type performance - it was an amazing but highly flawed 6 games.
