Which one of the Primary opponents brought it up dementia during the primaries? It was always a dumb talking point, also pushed by Sanders supporters in the Primary but guess what happened when Biden and Sanders went head to head in the primary debate? Nothing. Biden came out looking fine. The same thing is going to happen when he goes head to head with Trump.

Not sanders, he never said anything about it. Booker, Castro, in the debate, Tim Ryan on tv. also brought up by a few pundits on msnbc. You don't remember Castro's "did you forget what you said just two minutes ago" comment and Booker saying Castro was right to question it and "sometimes you look at Biden and just wonder" after he said something about record players. Ryan said he was declining and demonstrates a lack of clarity, etc. To be fair they didn't go so far to say "he has dementia" but his mental acuity and sharpness was in question BY DEMOCRATS in fall 2019 and once march rolled around it was erased from everyone's memory like the flashy thing from Men In Black and became a no-no to talk about and of course solidified by proclaiming it's Russians. I read the article and my take on it is that it’s essentially a worst case but not a necessarily plausible scenario. Keep in mind there’s a couple things about this scheme that make it incredibly hard. State legislators have nothing to do with running elections. Secretaries of State and Governors certify elections. Also state elections get an automatic recount if the election is close like less than 1% or .5%. In the case of Pennsylvania they have a Democratic Secretary of State and Democratic Governor. They make the rules and certify the results.

The other thing to remember is that the electors don’t go to announce their votes until December. So the author is talking about a situation where the election results still aren’t known in December and the Pennsylvania State legislature selects electors faithful to Trump. The assumption is that within all the confusion Trump is somehow named the winner. The other assumption is that it comes down to Pennsylvania and Biden hasn’t won through one of his many different paths.

The third thing and the biggest hurdle hear is that there are 38 states that have laws that the electors must elect the popular vote winner. And this was upheld by the Supreme Court 9-0.

Thirty-two states and D.C. have laws requiring their electors to abide by the outcome of the election.

Maybe all the swing states fall into the 18 states that don’t have laws that the electors have to select the popular vote winner, but even the for this scheme to work the vote would have to be very close or come down to a few states. And a clear winner wouldn’t be known by December. If it’s that close then Democratic voters have failed because this should not be a close election.

And one last thing regarding the mail in votes as I said mail in voting does not necessarily mean that the ballots won’t get there in time for the election. Stopping the mail in vote would hurt Republican votes as well. Trump is encouraging his supporters to vote by mail, but I digress check this out. It at least validates my theory that mail in voting doesn’t mean the ballots won’t get there by Election Day.

I think it is on topic when there is some type of fact based evaluating not some bs rumor on either side started by a supporter with out some diagnoses by professionals.

Here’s the thing that you’re missing. The analysis of Biden’s economic plan was analyzed by an Independent credit rating company. They laid out different scenarios and the best scenario for the economy is that Democrats control the Presidency, Senate and Congress. This isn’t Biden pulling out 18 million jobs out of his ass, it’s a separate analysis where as Trump’s proposal to black Americans is just made up of lies and taking credit for things that are already happening. So again I’ve proven both candidates aren’t the same.

What issues do you care about? This isn’t about being for Biden or Trump but who’s actually going to do what’s best for the country.

People called it out and the media called it out. Bernie didn't have to do anything and he didn't. It was evident to everyone. Why do you think Obama was against Biden running in the first place? He knew.

Biden was a dud in the early debates. Then all of a sudden perked up for the Bernie debate? (Biden still lied his ass off without retribution from the moderators, of course.)

This is all water under the bridge. I just hope that Biden takes whatever he took before debating Bernie.
