Looney too. Can’t lose!

As long as they can guard the perimeter decently every team needs one to defend. The real issue is both teams have a small ball lineup with a skilled Forward playing Center. The knicks got two of those in the lineup and Thibs won't play either at Center unless injuries force him too.

Yea, every team does need a guy like that. Both teams are well balanced and have depth to play a number of different ways. They basically almost always have 5 2way type players on the floor at all times…not many weakness’s to exploit on either end.

Yep, Celtics won because they became stupid hot, and Horford went all in and just dominated his matchups.

Thats where I am with it. I see no reason to hate this Celtics team just because Imma Knick Fan.Also Its rare for Black Head Coaches to win a Ring in the NBA.... Im not going to root against that for the fact its the Celtics.

This isnt Yankees Red Sox or Giants, Eagles/Cowboys etc. The Knicks and Celtics havent been a rivalry in over 20 years. I may hate them one day, but its not today

Last time it was a rivalry was back in 2013. Melo said beating them in the playoffs felt like he won a chip

Missed game 1 but looking at no score looks like Wiggins island was in full effect. Locked up skinnier Julius Randle and owned him on the other end. 3-17 for 12 points

Looks like besides Wiggins and Curry the rest of the Warriors had too much time to rest and came out rusty. Celtics role players carrying them like they have all year long

Well fack if we’re going off that logic, our only rivals should be Orlando, Cleveland, and OKC cause they keep kicking our ass in the lottery

You a Yankee Fan so trust I understand why you cant. Im not mad at that. Im not die hard Yankee so my Blood doesnt Boil as much. Im a Giants fan and we whipped they ass twice, so from my perspective they my sons.

Celtics Knicks goes back to Clyde Days before I was even born. Celtics was never the Knicks Rivals in the 90s when I first started watching basketball.

I hate the warriors more than any dislike for a Boston Basketball team, so its easy for me to want to see them lose regardless to whom or what. I can islolate them for now outside of the actually NYC vs Boston rivarly the actual cities have.

Im more jealous of the celtics than a person who hates them. We are supposed to be in the same class as a franchise and we not. :nonono:

That was personal reasons wasnt it, but even then that was a watered down rivarly if you want to call it that. Its not real in the sense of Yankees Red Sox. Or Bulls Knicks or Knick Heat in the heyday of the battle. I used to hate the Bulls as a Kid. I dont hate them no more., and the main reason is because we suck.

Growing up a Knicks/Mets/Giants fan in the city I never understood the Boston hate. Then I became an adult and actually moved to Boston and many other cities around the country, and I can report from three decades of observation that Boston fans are universally the worst. I was shocked at the racism in Boston, and it’s still pretty predictable which random (old pasty or young fratty white) dudes will be Celtics fans as I travel the country. If I were a Knick fan who likes Tatum, I’d do like all the C’s fans who secretly voted for Trump — keep my mouth shut about it.

I am not worried for my warriors. that was a once-in-5-lifetimes shooting performance by some celtics players.

It’s been awhile since the Knicks have had a legit rivalry. We are just sad. The Boston dislike is more for all sports, their fans, etc. But at this point it’s hard for me to care too much given the Knicks. I just want to see a good series.

The way they were able to stop the Warriors penetration was concerning to me. They were so worried about getting stripped they couldn't hit layups. Better performances/adjustments from Green and Looney in particular are needed. I wouldn't expect Smart and Horford to keep it up but Tatum should rise. This series will be a battle at best for the Warriors.
