He was also really high on Jan Vesely and Yi Jianlan.

He said that if Yao is Biggie, Yi Jianlan is 50 Cent. I still don't know what that meant.

is he the guy who said so and so was "a few years away from being a few years away" and meant it not as a joke until he got called out?

Yea, he said that about Bruno Caboclo

Porzingis isn't soft at all and his aggression is actually an issue because of how small he is. Dude tries to power through guys sometimes but is just too weak to successfully do it.

I'm not advocating Turner over Porzingis, I don't know Porzingis enough. But if you gave Matt Bonner Myles' length and shot blocking, he'd be pretty valuable imo. A stretch big that's a certified rim protector is pretty useful.

A good decent role player, sure. Porzingis is better in every way outside of his jumper and athleticism.

Isn't Porzingis' jumper his unquestioned strength?

I just hope our luck change and he become a good player once it happen. All Knicks fans let's except this outcome and be happy we have a top five pick for the first time I'm years. Stop pumping yourself up for number 1 or 2 pick it won't happen for us

I don't expect the 1 or 2. But if it must be 3-5 I will complain if Winslow is there and we pass on him for some underweight from Europe who can't play down low and might one day come to the NBA and prove he's not AK47

Karl-Anthony Towns could end up with the New York Knicks depending on how the NBA draft lottery goes on Tuesday.

Towns, 19, grew up watching the Knicks.

“I’ve always been a Knicks fan,” Towns said. “I never was able to afford passes to the games. We were able to afford cable and got the MSG channel so I could watch every Knick game. It made me more of a fan because I could watch every big game.

“My best friend was a Nets fan so it made for a cool rivalry. My favorite player for the Knicks is a tie between Walt Frazier and Patrick Ewing, but I liked Patrick Ewing a lot. But I’ve never been to a Knicks game. I could never afford to go there.”

Towns averaged 10.3 points, 6.7 rebounds and 2.3 blocks in just 21.1 minutes per game for a deep Kentucky team that advanced to the 2015 Final Four.

“It would be an honor and a privilege to play for the Knicks organization,” Towns said. “But wherever the chips fall, the chips fall. I just can’t wait to play basketball at the next level.”

Along with his athleticism yeah but Myles has a better looking form, a better mid range J, and hit way more free throws (84%).

I'm really confused as to why most of the posters on this board are extremely pro Russell and just eh on Mudiay. Is it because Russell has a flashier game and has that confidence people like? Mudiay put up very similar numbers to Russell yet Mudiay was playing against much tougher competition (yes you can laugh at that statement but it happens to be 100% true).

For me, anything in the top 4 would be great, even 5th pick would be fine. History shows that top 5 picks do very well and this years draft is deep, especially at the top. Wade was a 5th pick, Love was a 5th pick. Guys like Westbrook only went 4th. I would love Russell but I'm not sold that he is better than Mudiay. I'm not sure how anyone can say that at this point. Both are high character guys who seemingly want to play here, and given their immense talent and size, that's enough for me. 88% chance at a top big man or guard, I'll take it.

Dead wrong. 95% of the players in the CBA are awful and would be delivering food elsewhere.

I think you are overrating the ncaa talent pool just a tad. There are a lot of players in the CBA right now who would destroy college. The point is, I don't see why Russell is getting all this praise and Mudiay is being soured on. When you are 19 and not named Lebron or Dwight or another absolute can't miss prospect, I think it's hard to tell how good someone will be. I'll be ecstatic if we end up with either big or either guard.

But you are under-rating all of that NBA talent filling the rosters of Penn State, Purdue and N-Western. Russell and Ohio State played one of the all-time weakest out of conf schedules in the annals of sports last year.

Towns would unite our whole fanbase, tbh!! :) Russell might be the 2nd to him to have that consensus (if we pick 3rd)

Yes it is. I actually see a little bit of a very young Rick Smitz (The Dunking Dutchman) when looking at Porzingis. Not sure how old Rick was when he made it to the NBA and I think he was +7'2" but I would bet these 2 looked pretty similar at 19 and Porzingis has more range than Rick ever had. Rick was a load.
