Remember the player 'type' that Isiah Thomas loved?

It's much different than the 'type' that Jackson seems to favor.

Phil likes smart, hard working and skilled on both ends of the court.

Jackson players give the kind of hope for a winning team culture that the WOW names Isiah brought in to win the press conference never did.

Just hope my Knicks didn't offered Shved the mini, earlier in FA... I think that's an insult...IMO

They better give him that $2.8 mil and call it a day..

part of my thinks if they don't offer shved the room exception. I would keep it. We can use it during the season and if someone gets cut or waived we could offer more $$$ and get him Something to keep in mind.

Didn't Shved had some nice run of good games when he got consistent minutes before the injury? It'd be no brainer to sign him to that 2,8 $, considering other option is Willie Green lol.

he doesn't know for sure he's gonna play here though.

calderon, afflalo, grant, galloway. if they sign shved, someone will be the 5th guard.

1. Melo
2. Lopez
3. Afflalo
4. O'Quinn
5. Porzingis
6. Calderon
7. Williams
8. Galloway
9. Grant

Based on last year, Fisher will probably go 10-11 deep on some night which would probably go to Lance or Shved depending on the matchup. He'll get regular time and will probably see the floor most nights as we'll need some playmaking, and it's likely the rotation will shade smaller as the season goes on and reality sets in that Melo is best at the 4 and needs to play there for us to make the playoffs. And if Calderon gets injured, I could see him taking over starting duties and maybe even keeping the job.

Id still like to target Bynum, Seraphin, Thornton, Jenkins, or maybe even Richardson as well as resign Sved

i'd love to have Gallo back

however if KaZinga works out, we would have Melo-Gallo-Kazinga at the 3-4 position, which is actually great except it means KaZinga would not be starting.

the frontcourt rotation could be something like

5 RoLo (30) / KylO' (10) / KaZinga (5)

4 Gallo (15) / KaZinga (20) / Melo (10)

3 Melo (25) / Gallo (20)

would be quite amazing to watch

Sixers center Joel Embiid will reportedly miss the entire 2015-16 due to a second foot surgery http://ble.ac/1HmOZ16

Calderon/Grant
Affalo/Galloway/Shved/Ledo
Melo/Early/Antekounmpo
Williams/Porzingis/Thomas
Lopez/O'Quinn/Amundson

That would be our depth chart with Shved. He might not like being in this type of rotation.

So Seth Curry drops 30 pts and McAdoo drop 20 pts so we can get a look at them in the triangle, really thought Seth could play a Bulls Steve Kerr role... really wanted Phil to offered them 10 days contracts last year... O well, good luck to the both of them... McAdoo will get DLee minutes this year, I know he will play well for them.

Really hope we get Shved back but I know he has offers from a Russian team and others... plus he just got married.... Chick is from Russia, not sure if she lives there.

My issue is that without resigning thomas and amundson, they would have had 3 mil in cap space. I wish they would have used that 3 mil on another better FA and still signed lou and lance for the vet min while also having the 2.8 room exception

i think pjax is playing a longer game here, sacrificing something to build NY as a desirable destination for FA

When I saw those pics of Embiid next to Okafor I was blown away at his body type at his height, could be just beastly on a Shaq level if he ever could put it together but I guess it's just another season of waiting and hoping on him for Sixer fans.
