Guys, I am looking at old draft results and damn!!! The draft is hit and miss. You better take the sure thing. Throwing up in my mouth seeing guys like Bargani, Emeka Okafor, Thabeet, Greg Oden, and Darko being drafted so high smh. This pick can really shake up the team, for good or bad. Im hoping for the good. the Draft is scary.

I want Towns. I just don't think we got the juice. He could have worn #21 and been our very own Timmy Duncan.

Confirmed - before game 1. For some reason I thought they did it at half?

I thought it was at halftime too. They gonna see a ratings drop the minute the game comes on.

As is par for the Knicks recent team history, the crowd of Knicks fans who grew up with Ewing will know this pick will fail, while the high school/college aged fans who never witnessed the 1990s playoff runs will make this Porzingis chap their favorite player because they don't to believe he can suck. He will then prove every pessimist correct, while still giving small rays of hope to his fans that he "can be better." After 2 1/2-5 years of watching the player be nothing better than JAG at best, Knicks management will trade him for a disheartened Jhalil Okafor who wants out of his contract with [insert black hole small market team here] and the fanbase will be split. Okafor will show above average to elite play in most areas, but the Porzingis crowd will latch on to one or two less useful advanced metrics that suggest Porzingis is better despite the eye test and most other stats. For the next 5 years the Porzingis fans will troll Okafor as the team still doesn't play at championship level.

Please God save us all from this, do not let my Knicks draft Porzingis.

In this fever dream, do you have us drafting Porzingis over Okafor? Or anybody in the top 4?

In my nightmare scenario we'll draft Porzingis ahead of guys like Winslow, Russell, Mudiay, Hezonja, Johnson, and WCS.

Gallo was really loved by the NYK community...not sure if Porzingis can reached that fandom with the NY crowd, not sure if he has Gallo's personality.

Was it his personality? The fact he was our first draft pick sans Isiah Thomas? The fact he had a Pringles connection (b/c Pringles was above criticism by many Knicks fans back then)?

I hope y'all made the proper arrangements with whatever deity you associate with. It's almost time...this isn't a game anymore. I'll put it like this...I sat down and watched over 60 losses this year, and I didn't intentionally bring this suffering on myself to not end up with a top 3 pick. It's game time now baby

Im concerned that Towns has only showed me a so so post game in college. I really have not seen much of his other scoring plays.

Mudiay and Hezonja are the mystery men but at a minimum look like NBA players. I would regret passing on all these guys because they all show me that they have it in them to be impact players even if some still need to develop an aspect or two of their games.
