In my nightmare scenario we'll draft Porzingis ahead of guys like Winslow, Russell, Mudiay, Hezonja, Johnson, and WCS.

Eh, I wouldn't regret passing on a few of those guys, Porzingis or not

Mudiay and Hezonja are the mystery men but at a minimum look like NBA players. I would regret passing on these guys because they all show me that they have it in them to be impact players even if some still need to develop an aspect or two of their games.

How is what you said true of Hezonja and not Porzingis?

How much have you seen of either? Especially since KP plays more mins and has better production

Jahlil's offense is almost too good to pass up. man he is so good at a young age. I keep seeing the same moves from KAT.

Is anyone else worried that Justice Winslow's stock is too heavily based on his tournament performence. His 3p% and FT% were 15% higher in tournament then regular season.

I'm very concerned about his low FT%, if he is hitting 60-65% of his free throws for his careers, he will never be a superstar

Jahlil's story about his mom is sad as well. He plays for her man, damn this is tough even though we dont know our draft position yet.

Watching whatver exists online of the two euro's I see an NBA wing in Hezonja who plays with a chip on his shoulder when he's given playing time. He's got NBA moves, can create off the dribble, finish at the rim, and knock down a 3. Watching him play you can see from his movements that he's studied players like Rudy Gay and Carmelo Anthony plus he has the SIZE to play 15-20+ minutes a night this year. He needs to be coached up to play within a system-getting out of Spain will be very good for him as he and his coach over there didn't see eye to eye from what I understand. Both Phil and Fisher have dealt with players of mental make up before: see Kobe Bryant.

When I watch Porzingis he looked rather unbalanced, doesn't have good foot work, doesnt rebound well in the paint (frame and size issue) and doesn't look like he'll be the same shot blocker as AK47. I just don't see it from him. I doubt his length can mask his deficencies in the NBA like it can overseas. The only NBA team I can trust to be patient enough with him until he finally gains weight and improves his play is San Antonio because they can stash him in Europe and not let most of his major custruction work cost them W's in the NBA. We don't have that luxury with Porzingis.

Oh...this just started. Trust me. Today marks the beginning of an entire new era. What we know as Knicks basketball today will be a distant memory.

the speculation of who we will pick...will we trade out of the top 5, what other teams are trading up in the draft....this is going to be a timeless series of events.

I'm not calling for bloodshed, I'm just saying the real debates will be maxed out during June/July/August/Sept when we only have summer league games, free agency to get hyped about. It's going to be a very long summer.

well we do have an 80% chance of that happening so I don't know what to tell you...

but in GIF form for the sake of it what happens if we do land the top pick when you find out?
