That was if* the Knicks couldn’t find a trade. Kanter has no say there.

And even then, NY can deal Jordan for AD and send the talent in a separate deal to NO for other salaries.

i think the fact he hasn't been bought out yet actually keeps those discussions alive. Why else keep kanter on the roster if you aren't planning on using him as roster filler...he probably will get bought out but they are still obviously working the phones.

to be fair I just don't think they want to give in the lakers...its almost like they would be willing to accept a lower offer from someone else just to not send him to LA.
