Agreed with the above. However I kinda do agree with the top 5 for the NYK purposes too. Thats probably how I would list them.

Zion
Culver
Barrett
Morant
Clarke

thats how I have my top 5 at the moment for the knicks.

what seperates culver form morant is that his jumpshot doesn't look broken.

I've seen this a lot lately, RJ being able to get to the line a lot. I just don't know where it's coming from. RJ has the worst FTr for anyone being considered a top 10 pick, not named Cam Reddish. He's really not that good at getting to the line. A FTr of only .310 isn't anything to write home about. Comparing him to Butler since he was brought up. Butler had a FTr of .776 for his 3 years in college, in his 2nd year (first season of major minutes) he had a FTr of .875.

Just a comparison of the other most likely top picks FTr.

Zion: .467
Ja: .512
Culver: .379
Hunter: .398
Little: .366
Rui: .477
Keldon Johnson: .414
Cam: .264

Throw in Jaxson Hayes and Bol Bol (bigs so not really a fair comparison) and Garland (only 4 games, so not enough to draw a conclusion on) and those are 12 guys (including RJ) that are all probably going to go lotto.

I actually think you can say RJ's ability to get to the line is a weakness for him.

I stand corrected, thanks for sharing those stats. I do see a willingness to attack the rim from RJ, which apparently doesn't consistently translate into free throws. Like an optical illusion I guess. Interesting.
I think that’s a big difference between leagues

The nba rewards aggressive driving with free throws
RJ will get to the line much more in the nba than in college imo

I still think you have to look at the skill set as well. RJ struggles to get any separation vs college players. He's not getting calls right now because ACC refs swallow the whistle, he's not getting the calls because he can't put his defender into a compromised position. If the defender is in a compromised position, it is much more likely they will foul or the ref will give the offensive player the benefit of the doubt.

You're not going to get a consistent whistle when being stood up over and over again. He never gets to the defenders hips or passed their shoulders for them to have to swipe at the ball. He just gets stood up over and over again. With his lack of wiggle and really high basic dribble, I don't see him putting defenders in compromised positions to get the calls.

Culver gets the nod over Barrett because he can do literally almost everything that Barrett can do offensively with elite defense.

im going off the logic that KD/Kyrie are coming...until they aren't :D

Ja and Garland would be much more in play if Kyrie wasn't coming. Culver is my clear #2 prospect because of his ability to play both ways and fit seamlessly with two stars (if we don't get the #1 pick and can get Zion).

I think I'm just at the point that i believe Barrett is more of an alpha and I think he'll be fine defensively with more focus on that end at the next level... It's one of those hunches thing for me. I think he just figures it out offensively and can be a nice fulcrum of creation from the wing, which, to me, is extremely valuable. I'd be fine with Culver too for the record. Just prefer Barrett...

Clarke I don't understand for the Knicks or anywhere in the top 5 to be quite frank... He can't shoot, isn't much of a playmaker and gets by a lot by simply being more athletic offensively. He's discount Zion to me.... I get the defense thing but I just don't see the fit for us nor the upside since he's far away from being any sort of shooter and I don't think he's big enough to be a rim running center at the next level. He would have been a good fit with KP but him and Mitch together offensively would never work IMO.
