if you want to maximize Kevin Knox, you utilize him as a stretch 4 that slides off of off ball screens. Using him as a 2 heightens everything he’s bad at.

Fizdale stinks. Oh well.

What I find slightly worrying is Fiz keeps mentioning positionless basketball as if it meant experimenting random s*** (I find that experimentation often conceals a lack of content), regardless of role distribution and skill sets. It just sounds very hollow. Knox doesn't have the foot speed to guard 3s, what makes you think he can keep up with NBA 2s?

I always found that Fiz sounds very confused when talking about positions (or the lack thereof). Last year was a lost season but I need to hear fewer words and see more tangible results from him this year.

All teams play position-less basketball these days, look at Lebron, he plays anywhere from 1-5, Paul George is playing at the 4 where in Indiana he was a 2-3, Harden at the 1 when he is a 2, Ben Simmons who is a 4 is playing at the 1. Nobody is truly playing in their projected positions anymore , Fiz is just the one who brought it up.

I think he’s going to really struggle the first 35-40 games, and then get hot the last 25-30 when he realizes he has to change the way he plays.

Let's hope. He might be buried on the depth chart by then if Fiz is telling the truth about earning playing time.

Adding Morris is still such a head-scratcher to me. You've got two young SF prospects and Randle clearly blocks the 4 spot. It's stupid. I hope we trade him at the deadline (preferably for Bogdan or other young talent like one of the Spurs' guards, but of course that's not happening for many reasons, I know that).

Lmao I know us Knicks fans are use to tanking but thats not really the ideal way for success if you are trying to build a winning culture.

Having established vets and taking younger players under there wing can have some very positive results. Look at the impact DJ had on Mitchell. I hope Morris has that kind of impact on Knox and Iggy.

17 points in 18 minutes should have cleared it up some.
And it was at the sf position? even better.

Barrett is a SF too and he should get his minutes there. We need a capable shooter at SG and it doesn't hurt if that player can play some defense. If anything, Knox and Barrett should get their minutes together at the 2+3, leaving Morris as the odd one out in that scenario again.

In my view he's in the way and I truly like his type of game. Preferably we trade Morris to a contender for a young SG anyway, say Forbes, White, Bogdan, well there are countless options. I'd still trade him to Phoenix and take a flier on Bridges too. We could also package him and acquire a real Point Guard for all I care.
