Probably reach 100 pages and then Sexton gets traded to Miami and Knicks resign Elf.

Should I go see what Raymond Felton is up to?

Obi + Knox + 32nd + Dal 2023 Pick + cash. Let them find a better offer.

Still don't know how Obi gets no respect yet Franks got a fan club that rivals Bieber. :nonono:

When you realize the Knicks are not smart enough to make a move for Nickeil Alexander-Walker over Sexton.

It's not that Obi gets no respect. It's just that Obi is blocked by Randle. Who's Frank blocked by?

Obi had a shyt beginning to the season but really looked good at the end, particularly in the playoffs. I would prefer that we don't give him up.

Lin was helpful for our w/l record when healthy. Had he been Af-Am, Melo would have made sure that Lin would have had a contract to sign with the Knicks. This is the team that signed Chris Smith after all...
I don't think it is that simple. I mean he washed out of Toronto and Toronto's basketball fantasy is heavily Asian. And nobody in Toronto really laments his leaving.

And they currently have Watanabe.

Lin is a mid 30s athlete with a bum leg and a game predicated on athleticism while not being able to go left. He is no longer marketable, no longer talented. It's not like he left the Knicks and got blackballed. He signed a poison pill contract which is why Melo called it ridiculous. It wasn't the amount it was the structure.

There is plenty of anti-Asian bigotry and it worked both for and against Lin but I don't think he was dropped for being Asian. It seems more that he was no longer good enough.

I think this argument for Lin might have worked if/when he wasn't getting playing opportunities like 6 years ago, but as you said, now that he's mid 30's with already not elite athleticism starting to fade AND a bad leg, I think it's just teams going with the younger guys.

nets would have been better last season with Lin.

Everyone is complaint about possibly getting sexton when our starter was elfrid payton. You guys get mad we are losing a young player yet sexton is the same age as obi and more polished and established. I like obi but what does he do good again?

You think the Nets didn't call him up because they are anti-Asian? Didn't they have Dinwiddie and Kyrie last year?

I like NAW but he’s a bit inefficient. He’s probably the Pelicans starting 2 for the future so I doubt they move him anyways

Obi, Knox and a pick or 2 for Sexton is almost a no brainer if you can't get Lillard. A lot of these developmental forwards take years to reach their ceiling. Look at Randle. Sexton is already a 22+ pt scorer who can dish and play a little D. The Obi curve will be a few years likely and he may never get to the level that Sexton is at right now. Lastly he plays the same position as our top player does. Further he allows us to still get another

GMs in sports love to bid against themselves. I understand that often times teams dont need to make a move, but if no one wants Sexton and they refuse to pay him as a RFA, they pretty much have to trade him now.

so, I guess 32+ Knox is where I would start from a Knicks perspective, going up to 21 + Knox
or
Obi + Knox

all seem amenable unless there is another team involved that can outbid us. Then we'd have to consider Obi + 21 + Knox. Until then, we have a lot of leverage in this scenario.

Am I wrong ?

Why would you want a player who hasn’t shown much at 23 vs a player scoring 25ppg 5 assist per game ..at 23 years old.

Come one now it’s a no brainer. Oh because we gotta pay him. Well guess what who else are we going to sign?

You trade for this kid now maybe try and get dipo on a 1 year or also sign lonzo to play sg.

Sexton lonzo rj Randle Mitch

That’s a balanced defensive and offensive lineup with good shooting and penetration. You just need to have Mitch start shooting atleast 1 3pt per game ... then try and resign rose bullock, taj and anther center and pf

The Knicks need Colin Sexton real bad because they have no one who can matchup against Trae Young.
