Frank Isola: Houston Rockets have not been told anything from Knicks

from Becks report:

In recent days, two people briefed on the Knicks’ deliberations said it was unlikely the team would keep Lin. Yet both cautioned that the decision was not final and would ultimately be made by one person: James L. Dolan, the Madison Square Garden chairman

Even if you don't want to pay Lin, just trade him next year....

nothing to look forward to with this team. Might as well let shumpert go also for some proven vet. This team is going nowhere

Not really. We are foolish enough to root for this franchise. Battered fan syndrome. We keep coming back for more.

Hope you guys and gals root for some non-terrible teams in other sports...

i'm done with the New York Knicks for good.. I'll root for some other club from now on. I'm dead serious.

Nobody cares ur not a Knicks fan

This team is significantly better than just a month ago and you Lin stans can't take it. You wanted him back at all cost even though he would have been a bench player playing meager minutes.

Can't accept that the organization might actually think he's not a good player. That they don't want a walking turnover when they are trying to construct a roster to beat the Heat. Our 3 PG's all have an A/T over 2, something Lin will never do in his career.

Yeah and even Beck is leaving wiggle room.

Anybody find it odd that this is happening so early?

Plenty of time to go.

I think they might want Houston to withdraw the offer sheet. Calculated bluff?

Small chance left. Don't give up complete hope until the last second. But it's looking awful.

Just an unacceptably atrocious decision and one that will haunt this franchise for a very long time.

They did it at 4pm, just as the stock market closed. Literally right on the dot. They did it then in hoping that people will get their hysteria out of the way today and tonight and not totally tank MSG stock. Lin is gone. I have known it since we heard the first report from Felton's agent. And I'm happy for Lin. He deserves better than this organization.

I wish Jeremy Lin all the best in Houston. I feel that he can be a very successful pg in the league but I feel that Knicks mgmt is not at 100% fault for Lin not coming back. Houston called our bluff by giving Lin that backloaded contract, but at the same time Jeremy put his signature on that backloaded offer sheet lets not forget that. If your a Lin fan you should be happy that he got paid. Im expecting something like 18/4/8/3to's from him. The man can play basketball but as Knick fans now we have to move on & put our brains together and figure out how were going to get past miami. Again I wish Jeremy nothing but success in his future. Houston has a huge asian market & Jeremy WILL be the starting 1 in the ASG for many years to come.
Do you gets think a Lin/Kmart/howard big 3 is good enough to get the 6-8 seed in the west?

I will root for the Knicks to succeed.

But if they don't, I don't want mediocrity. I want the players strangling each other in the locker-room, Dolan getting shot at everytime a sniper has a chance, dogs and cats living together, mass hysteria.

We are going to match Lin, just trying to find a way to f*ck with Houston.

Hey, a few years down the road, looking back, maybe this decision is right. Maybe the scouts are right. You never know. Gonna miss Jeremy. But life goes on.
