Get it done Grunnie

You know the former is not happening.

Isn't that essentially what STAT/Novak for Bargs/Gay essentially boils down to?

That has no shot of happening either.

Not a chance in hell.

But I want to know what Ujiri is willing to part with for Bargs, because nobody is just gonna take on his salary. They need to give up an asset to get rid of Bargs.

Bargnani for Novak, Camby and a first

a)i dont know why you keep mentioning amare and tyson.
b) theyre will be no market for bargs
c) toronto looking to rebuild not add salary
d) cambys deal unguaranteed, basically expiring contract
e) they need shooting, novak at 4 mil works
f) they acquire the 24th pick. more assets in rebuild

I think they would take amare, for name recognition purposes, but it would cost shump as well to even make them think about it.

Honestly I can see the bobcats doing it only because they have a handful of bad contracts that actually can see time on the court.

masai is not gonna make his first move as GM taking on amare.

pretty simply.
woody is confusing the words "small ball" and "spacing"
the key to melos success this season wasnt that we were playing small it was that the court was spread out.
it happened to be that our best lineup that spaced the floor containted 2 point guards hence it was small ball

in the playoffs we struggled vs big teams because a) if we went small theyd crush us inside b) if we went big the paint was too congested

Bargnani would take the 4 on defense and stretch the floor on offense.
He can be another offensive weapon that we clearly needed this season
hes young (27) and definitely has talent.
could use the change of scenery, coming to ny

plus his contract expires same year as everyone elses
if you could get him for that package, you do it

Tyson/ Martin
Bargs/ Amare
Melo/ Cope
Shumpert/ JR
Felton/ Prigs

That's the big man who is enough of an outside shooting threat to draw Hibbert out from under the basket.

My only problem with Barns, he's injury prone and milks his injuries to collect a check.

in toronto.. bring him to ny see how he reacts.
he expires the same time as everybody else so its not like we'd be killing our flexibility.
just another weapon in the armor for the next 2 seasons

Won't dispute much of it, I can see the raps using it as a sale, but bargs really is not that player, that's the advertised hope he could fullfill but has yet to do so, and maybe he can finally stay on the court.

You could just tell Novak to shoot contested shots and receive the exact same effect.

As far as Melo goes, the key to his early success was health and determination.

BowlRips, one question....

How do you sell melo on a guy who spent as much time in a suit as his "friend"?

yes but Novak is an absolute zero on defense. He has no chance to take the PF on defense.
Bargnani can.
Im not saying hes a good defender by any stretch but he has the capability to take PFs in this league because of his size (true 7 footer)
The dude is from Rome, Italy. Thats a pretty good place to live. Nothing against Toronto but if im from rome and i had to go play ball in Canada on a sh*tty team i wouldnt be too happy.
Bring him to NY, reinspire his play.
He has all the talent in the world.

When Melo gets on the court next year vs Indy and the paints wide open cause Bargs is drawing Hibbert out and then he gets back on defense and he doesnt gotta take D-west in the post, I think Bargs will instantly become his new best friend

Bargnani couldn't excel in pressure free basketball, the kid couldn't handle being booed, and can't stay healthy.

But the hope is he reaches his potential in the mecca where are bets are off and expectations are raised?

i dont know his mental character but thats alot to ask from a bust.
