That plan/lineup has its merits and actually could occur in this reality. I could easily see it happening. Especially if they evaluate WCS and think he could learn to shoot in game.

Oh i agree so it would have to be an agreed upon 3 team deal. Seems like the most realistic that can help all the teams. Throw in maybe a second rounder to the Bulls from us.

If there are free agents on board as long as we can free up Jose's money, Phil can do that using the 2018 pick, protected for the lottery we hope.

the idea would be trading down. That would be the incentive to have someone to take calderon. Of course right now no one is going to just take calderon off our hands until he proves he can be healthy and productive. But if Phil wanted to get 35 million in cap space to do some damage to get two big FA names.

He could theoretically move down a few spots. Still get someone he likes. And shed Calderon contract. I actually think it would be pretty easy especially if Phil wasn't enamored with Mudiay.

This is what I've been trying to say. Move down, shed Jose, pick up an asset and draft WCS.

Denver gets: #4 and Jose
New York gets: #6 and a future 1st

Denver drafts: Manny (they are going to move Lawson)
New York drafts: WCS

I don't think we move the 2018 pick for Calderon but every move should be judged in a vacuum. The deal is done. The point is to make this team better.

Draft just went from a 4 star draft to a 3 star draft. We're getting stuck with a role player instead of a franchise player because Fisher wasn't with team tank.

This doesn't mean anything. Mudiay has scheduled workouts with LA, Philly, and NY as per Zagoria. There is still the possibility of him going in the top 3. I personally do not see him slipping past us at 4. He has too much potential.
