Follow up question, are we going to hear about him even through retirement?

Asking for a friend... who isn't a big, big Melo fan, but doesn't hate him, and doesn't need to incessantly post about him. Just hates having to see his name at least every 3 posts on every thread.

Iverson retired at 34, i'm guessing 35-37 ish for Melo.

Meanwhile in Minny - apparently Thibs is playing dudes close to 40 mpg again.

NBA coaches are a strange and stubborn breed.

You mean Thibs is still an offensive dullard who runs his players into the ground?

You don't say

Opponents have scored 119.5 points per 100 possessions while Towns is on the floor. Among all starting centers in the league, the only player with a worse defensive rating is Kelly Olynyk.

Yeah it's really odd. He had all the tools to be a good defender and was legitimately a good one at Kentucky. Either he just doesn't care on that end or the NBA game just moves too fast for him... It's weird for sure. It's what makes KP better than him currently.

Towns will leave if this continues but ultimately the team will fire Thibs to appease Towns and keep him around long-term.

If Tim Duncan could defend, then KAT can defend. Maybe he just doesn't care.

I thought he was just a random dunking scrub but last year I was watching lot of the tank rivals end of season games and he looked like nice prospect in transition with his length and quickness, whoever better than Horny to rebeast his outside shooting? If that happens you get yourself a cool prospect for free

Good for Jah. Brooklyn should be able to develop him and give him the tools to be successful. That defense though with him and Russell....
