Look at the frame on this kid. The W I D E shoulders. In 3 years he is going to start filling out and he is gonna start to see similarities to Dwight's physical development. Dwight was all shoulders too, as a rookie.

I like this kid, shy awkward personality and all. I don't think he slow or got any mental incapacities. I just think it's lack of social development due to his environment. Lots of kids from impoverished situations have to be developed socially.

When you look in his windows you don't see bad energy.

Can't have stuff like this on there. He's gonna get chewed up in NYC.

Lol relax. At least he's not doing drugs or saying some ignorant sh**. Plus he's a second rounder. There really shouldn't be pressure on him like that...

I'm not saying it to criticize him. I'm very happy he's a Knick. I'm trying to help him. NY fans and media tear apart anyone with any weakness, and if he's weak-minded, he's gonna have a hard time here. Being young isn't an excuse to be doofy. Frank didn't have sht like this on his social media. The first impression you get when you see his Twitter is "this isn't a mature person". That can be overlooked in Louisiana, but not NY.

I think thats a fake ig brodie. If anything its a good look cause his last post on his real ig is from June 8. which means he dont even be on there like that.

I love having a high flying big to put next to KP. All of that length is going to create a ton of problems on both ends of the floor. Hopefully in a year or two it works out he can play consistent minutes (or even some time in a tank season now!).

Really dont know much about him, but looks like a nice upside pick. Might as well swing for the fences. I like the thought process behind this one.

Wilson Chandler was awkward too. He could play next to KP at PF.

What is so special about New York that a teenager can't post a selfie with dog ears and flowers?

He has every raw skill you can ask for and has never had a high level coach, this is a super upside pick, the kind the Knicks rarely if ever make.

I like the pick. These are the guys the Knicks never take a shot on.

Granted HS rankings mean next to nothing, he was ranked right there with all the bigs who went in the Top 7 coming out of HS and looked similar to Bamba in the All-American games last year. He belonged. I do think he has more maturity/intangible issues than the other guys and hearing that interview just posted is cringey as hell. The weird saga at WKU is a red flag. He's going to have a lot to learn, he's definitely behind the curve not having a year of college coaching. Mudiay mentioned last year how much going to China hurt him yet he still got some formal coaching. Mitchell got nothing.

Whiteside is an easy comparison but I think it's accurate. Hopefully Fiz can get this kid's head on straight.

He may be shy off the court but he wasn’t shy yammin on peoples heads. Physically he reminds me more of DJ than Whiteside. Hopefully he actually spent that year training hard and not just going through the motions.

Yeah I just saw his Twitter.

Reading through it, he really couldn't handle some Twitter trolls and I think this was partially a reason why he never went to school. He kept tweeting about people not "leaving him alone". His mental stability is going to be one huge red flag - probably his biggest.

He seems VERY shy and insecure. Many young men grow out of that. He will need to.

First name that comes to mind when I watched his tape is WCS. Dunker/shot blocker, but what else can he do? A+ draft for me.

Yeah, I can't remember us ever going for someone quite like this kid. Not sure if we had many chances though. I do remember us passing on Bynum and I was pissed.

This guy is legit with talent. Yeah, he needs to work on his game as he has only been playing since 10th grade. But he literally has ALL the tools: Nice hands, good dribble, rebounds, scores/shoots, blocks. (Not sure on passing)
He has a nice 3pt stroke, not sure on his midgame and what he can do beyond jamming. He doesn't seem big and out of control though. Again, I am extremely excited to see this guy develop. Perfect to have him spend time between here and Westchester.
