his shot is slow to get off but there nothing mechanic wise that raise concerns.

guys let’s start the jarret culver hype train, this is the kid we seek with the #3.

I'd take D.Hunter over J.Culver and would probably take Garland over him as well. Hunter is the guy i really like and he outplayed him when they played each other in that tourney game. I damn sure wouldn't be mad at Culver cause i am a fan but Hunter is my guy. Plays both sides of the ball and can shoot the rock and can play either forward position.

Hunter is grossly overrated. He doesn’t have a true position, his off the dribble game is weak & he isn’t a proven shooter from 3. I’m good on Al-Faroq Aminu with a top 5 pick.

It’s Culver or Garland or bust tbh. Ja if we get a blessing and he drops.

I think Hunter is gonna drop similar to how Mikal dropped last year. The upside just isn't there with him, he projects as a good role player. I think he will be better than Aminu but probably not by much. At 3 you gotta go with more upside and I would even consider Cam before Hunter. Culver is just more talented and offers way more versatility so I would go with him over Hunter also. If I'm gonna be honest then I'm even looking at somebody like Nassir Little over Hunter.

It is kind of hard to build a roster of great shooters who also have some defensive ability but in the modern NBA the teams that accumulate the most that fit this mold have the most success, those that don't have little to no success or max out at treadmill team.
If you'd rather see your team fail so you can be right
...you are a fan of your opinion not the team.

Mitchell Robinson will average 11 offensive rebounds per game.

I haven't checked basketball reference yet, but I think that will wind up being a record

Moses Malone, look the f*ck out

Which is why I’m not opposed to trading down if we have an indication no max guys are coming.

8, 10, Hawks 2020 1st top 5 protected for 3.

8 - Reddish
10 - Clarke

DSJ
Reddish
Knox
Clarke
Mitch

Solid core of young guys there and 6 firsts over the next three years + cap. Great shape going forward.

If we have an indication that no max guys are coming which i'm really starting to get the sense of because i now have this feeling that KD is the type to go against the grain of what everyone thinks and has been saying he's gonna do and ends up re-signing with GSW. Their owner has already said he doesn't kind paying whatever it takes to keep the band together so i don't think paying that luxury tax is something he even cares about if they can keep winning championships. So if this happens then i not only would be good with trading down but also using future assets in draft picks and young players to move back into the late lottery or mid first round and just really go for this rebuild and draft like 3 players in this first round of this draft. I'd be good with coming out of this draft with 3 first round picks.

I bet we could get a good haul if we absorbed salary.

But we haven’t taken on a salary dump since the QRich deal I believe.

You don't believe an 18 year old kid can get much better? If he learns how to keep his head on a swivel and be more judicious with his shot selection, he can improve exponentially just off those 2 attributes alone.

That's a bold statement to make about a kid who isn't even 19 yet.

Id almost prefer to spend our money on Durant plus Danny Green, J Randal and JJ Reddick than Kyrie

Would you equate last year's draft with this one? Would you equate getting RJ with getting Luca?

Not saying trade for that, but just sayin'... apples to oranges.

Pick value is pick value, doesn't matter who the team selects with it. We're basing off of how high we are, not value of the player.

They much rather a less talented player and rack up picks in the teens.

As you make those proposals ask yourself why the team is willing to trade up to 3...

I know you are being sarcastic but Ill take this opportunity to note that, to my eye, Culver's shooting form looks a little stiff and slow. I think he's going to struggle to get that shot off at times. Barrett has a lot of improvement to do on that front, like on defense and passing, but he shows the skill. it just needs to be worked on and improved

RJ definitely needs to improve his jumper and decion making. He needs to know he doesn’t have to run over people or force it. People gave Wade and Derozen flack but you cannot leave those guys open after they got better. He will be fine. Fast breaks pretty much automatic with those guys.

There’s gonna be a lot of dynamic plays this year. People forget how athletic Knox is Bc his stamina/posture is immature. Knox, Mitch, and RJ would be a good start at getting more athletic.
