What young player on the Knicks is playing as good as the hawks young players?

Trae the next wannabe superstar padding the **** out of his stats on a terrible team that has no emphasis on winning, teamplay or defense. Perfect for a tiny, balding poor man's Harden to do whatever he wants with no fear or consequence or outcome.

I think RJ, Mitch, Frank, Dot and Knox are as good or better than Cam Reddish. Reddish played 37 minutes last night.

I really don't see what more you'd want if you're the team that drafted him. He's great and they nailed the draft pretty much. He's as good a rookie as you can hope for and he's clearly a potent building block going forward.

He's everything the Knicks aren't.

Growing pains. The Knicks must have hated that show.

Do you know how bad Reddish was to start the season?

Knicks would have planted him at the end of the bench.

Rj starts and plays 35 minutes a night..

Mitch would be playing more if he didnt foul so much..

Frank started 30 games and looked like garbage

Dotson is not a young player..

Knox started last year and played a ton of minutes and was awful..

Knox was trash his rookie year and started 70 games and played big minutes..

show me the team that plays young players big minutes at the end of their 2ndnyear going into 3rd who is trash...

Teams typically do not stick with young players who dont produce

Knox struggles with the minutes hr has so you think the best way to develop him is to play more minutes?

as for frank show me the team that sticks with a young player that is really bad in their 3rd year..

Cameron and Hunter are rookies. We dont have a FRP rookie with little minutes this season.

Knox has played big minutes as a rookie and didnt show much evolution. He regressed this season.

We cant compare ourselves with Atlanta. They have a great young core.

Knox struggles with the role he has, not the minutes. Randle gets away with no defensive effort, why doesn't Knox?

As for frank, of course no team would stick with a bad player - but that's assuming Frank is bad. He's extremely good on defense though.

When Knox is averaging 20 and 10 on 50 percent shooting and can carry the offense then he will get a longer leash...dude is a zero on both ends of the court..

Extremely good is very strong, he is a good defender, he isnnot good enough defensively to br a complete zero offensively..

We aren’t even trying during his 2nd season. He plays minutes to be a floor spacer and that’s it.

That’s how you help ppl take the next step in their 2nd season?

We give guys like Frank and Dotson DNP CDS.

Either you believe in going through growing pains or you want instant gratification.

The vets are trash too.

Play the kids since they have a much better chance to get better

You know, Randle despite all the averages (45 FG% isn't 50% btw and it's also pretty lousy for a big) is not a player that contributes to winning at all. He contributes to losing in pretty much everything he does, even with the way he gets baskets. That, at least, cannot be said about Knox.

Frank is extremely good on defense. He leaves nothing to be desired on that end. It's not some highlights he gets, but fundamentally sound high pressure individual and help defense literally the entire time. It's simply top notch. I challenge you to watch the games more closely if you disagree.

Growing pains are only worth it if the player shows something worth growing..

No player sucks for 3 yesrs and then all of sudden turns it on and becomes a good player..

Frank has shown zero in 3 years..

and can we stop with dotson is a young player, Portis and Payton are younger than him, randle is the same age, are those 3 considered young players?

People are so obsessed with building the "right way" the right way is getting stars, it is the only way you build a title contender in the nba. Whether is draft, trades or free agency, you dont develop stars, you know a star right away

Frank is a very good defender, but his defense does not overshadow is zero he gives you on offense..

You cant win with zero's on offense anymore..

Frank is a 3 and d without the 3..
