i think we should be willing to part with our pick, the clippers pick, the mavs picks, and any players but mitch, RJ, and frank in order to nab a rising star like donovan mitchell or brandon ingram. plugging a player at that stage of their career would do way more for our existing core than a rookie.

KP = mavs picks + DSJ + capspace
capspace = morris sr = clippers pick
KP = mavs picks + DSJ + clippers pick

i would attach a lottery pick to a KP who wanted out if it brought back donovan mitchell or brandon ingram. would be a solid recovery from that debacle in the matter of 2 years

I was surprised that Cavs went for Garland instead of Culver, who I think would have been a better pairing for Sexton.

That being said I wasn’t that high on Culver in that draft. Would have chosen DeAndre Hunter or even Cam Reddish over him when it came to the wings.

Agreed on everything. Culvakina is not that good but he fits better next to Sexton

They are gonna scare a lot of teams away, plus he is no sure thing, and a lot of parity in this draft. Its inevitable we get him somehow.

Yeah Amare has been talking him up for a while now since they’re team mates.

I hated Quincy Acy tho. Flashbacks of that terrible team Phil Jackson assembled around Melo.. yikes

I love Mitch but i do worry about what kind of contract he'll be looking for when we really have to pay to keep him. Houston lost big by giving Capela that big contract for what he does, which is basically what Mitch does but he was still much better then Mitch when he got that contract offensively and by showing he can be a starter in the NBA and play starter minutes consistently without fouling out every game which Mitch still hasn't done.

He still played in the league for 7 years. That is better comp then a majority of the college guys are facing on a nightly basis.

Also this stretch run for Deni could really solidify him in the top 5 or 6 of the draft. He had some real questions about his shot. And I know its 2 games but shooting 50% from 3 and 90% from the line.

If Deni can shoot it he is def in the convo with the Edwards, Ball, Hayes, and Wiseman convo.

Fair point about the contract but if our thought is dont pay a lot of money to a big or that bigs are no as valued i dont think Wiseman is the answer. And just not crazy about doubling up in this draft. Think there are better moves to be made.

For example, Houston didn't get a lot for Capela so we probably wouldn't get a lot for Mitch. Then we will use high draft capital for another C who may not be anything special and not have much value either. Just doesn't seem like a good plan
