Especially after seeing Haliburton wear a lime green tarp raincoat in Phoenix last night.

Trying to hide his skinny shoulders. But it doesn't rain in Phoenix.

We are in the middle of our winter rainy season and it rained yesterday, it's going to rain today and tomorrow.

I was playing pickleball in the rain last night with a few other addicts...

i firmly believed he would be an all-star for us. i'd seen enough in that dallas playoff run he led with luka hurt.

but he's exceeded my wildest imagination already. and, damn. he's just entering his prime. and, damn. his game doesn't rely on athleticism. who knows how long he could play like this? max extension loading.

He can have all the money he wants.

hindsight is 20/10. this conversation was not preposterous when brunson was a reserve/second fiddle and lonzo was hitting his stride.

but, damn. did it ever age like bodega milk.

Real bad. Real, real bad.

By the time we made the signing Brunson had balled out in the playoffs and I liked it (still had no idea it would turn out this good) but I'm used to this franchise doing things like pairing Marbury and Francis or Amar'e and Carmelo and them being like "no you're just missing the brilliance of how these players will complement each other!"

They're doing smart things now. It's really cool.

I can be honest, no way did I expect Brunson to be able to do what he's been doing. No way. No way. No problem admitting I was dead wrong.

You could have just said 'my bad, who would have thunk he'd rise to this level' and everybody would have agreed but you took it a step further and tried to cover your comment by saying 'this was after he averaged 8ppg'.

Upon further review there was only one season he averaged as low as 8ppg, in his sophmore season...the 'this was after' signing was actually after he averaged 16ppg, almost 5 assists and helped take the Mavs to the conference finals and was largely responsible with the first round beating of the Donovan Mitchell led Jazz while Luka was out injured for a significant portion of that series.

So while not thinking he would become an MVP vote getter is reasonable. most can get on board with that reasoning but to think he'd be a Duhon level back up based on your cherry picked stat is just blatant obfuscation of a terrible take.

So you did gaf enough to try to cya

I love Brunson, but he never received the same type of hype that Ball did entering the league. Plus 99% percent of the Knicks fanbase at the time didn't forsee Jalen becoming a franchise player.
