Yup…..Hawks are 17-23 & have been trying to get rid of him…you don’t try to get rid of talent when you’re under .500 and trying to make the playoffs.

It’s cause they have to pay him soon and they’re already paying up the ass for Trae, Collins and Clint. They chose Hunter over him.

Ehhh I think it’s a combo of that and also the fact Cam isn’t that good.

But…..with that said, maybe Thibs can bring something out of him & this will only help RJ having people around he’s familiar with & potentially it opens up the Zion/RJ/Cam reunion. Zion would have to decline the Rookie extension which I high fu*king doubt he does that, we shall see tho.

Zion would become a much wealthier man winning a chip in NYC with his Duke buddies. The sponsorship deals would be way more lucrative than taking the extra $ from NO or paying NY their taxes

With a rival at that. The pick is prob in the 20s. Knox more willing to catch and shoot and buy in I guess. They didn’t want to pay him so got what they can.

He’s had a game just recently where he made 8 threes. He can also play some defense like he did against the Bucks in the playoffs. The issue with him is consistency. When his outside shot isn’t falling he needs to find other ways to score. It’s a great haul for the Knicks a potential 2 way player for basically nothing.

This is a good trade. Knox wasn't ever cracking this rotation. I don't think Reddish is that great but he has potential. He's shooting below 40% for his career. Maybe being back with RJ can boost him a bit? We'll see. I like the trade bc we really didn't lose anything.

Who's minutes does Cam take tho if he's going to be in the rotation?

If they want Cam to get minutes, somebody's gonna have to play less.

Maybe it's Obi. Maybe it's Grimes. Maybe it's Fournier. Maybe it's IQ. Someone's gonna lose minutes.

The most far-fetched scenario is they're thinking of selling high on RJ, but that seems unlikely.

i think it's obvious thibs doesn't like obi much and obi is a little unhappy with his minutes. cam more of shooter too. maybe they'll try noel & obi for turner.

I just hope this was a basketball decision and not part of some scheme to get Zion down the road. Reddish has talent so happy we turned a bad pick and bad player into him. Not sure how he fits long term but hopefully he figures it out
