Re: Knicks Draft Post Mortem
I need to see Burks Noel and Fournier traded today followed by reports of the exact target with the newly acquired cap space gained (hopefully not Jalen Brunson cause all this maneuvering just for him would be wild to me) to feel any better about what went down last night.

when the same guy was justifying that its ok to operate as an over the cap team last because all our contracts were moveable and market value...sorry if I don't by the justifying every move the knicks make approach.

If they can trade any of those guys without giving up even more assets that they can't afford to be trading just to shed contracts this will sum up how I'd feel...
But let's be realistic, they aren't going to find takers for these guys without giving up more assets now that every front office and the front office's moms know that the Knicks will offer up assets to move salaries. That's what experienced front office people are trained to see and know to leverage.

Poor Brunson about to be the face of this disappointment and unless he turns into Iverson he can't make it worth it

Oh he'll be the next Randle, Carmelo, Marbury at this rate. They are essentially putting all their eggs into a single unqualified bucket...again. If I was Brunson I'd at least make sure that this FO keep Randle so that I don't become the only target...or stay clear of this altogether (you guys have said that he's a smart guy right?). Folks that are jerking him now will be looking to castrating him in a couple years for not being able to pull miracles out his butt if all they do is land Brunson.

You definitely know your basketball.
How does it feel knowing so little about basketball?
I’m sure you have some knowledge outside of basketball but to be wrong for damn near 20 years on a particular topic is definitely an achievement.
But hey, there’s always corny gifs.

Boston gave us picks last year to get the TPE from Fournier since we could have just signed him outright.
Similar situation here.
There are some differences though. Boston didn’t want Fournier and had no intent to keep him. Brunson will be more heavily sought after.
Mavs can also offer a 5th year and more money, bigger raises. So there is a benefit where Brunson may request a sign and trade and Knicks are forced to work with them more then the other way around.
Either way to clear additional cap Knicks are going to have to trade assets so really don’t think they will be recouping much assets in this one

What does that you have to do with my question? Are you “butthurt” because you’ve been wrong so many times?
If you are, try reading others posts and learning from them. Maybe you’ll be in the right side of history one day.
