Shyt, he proved me wrong. I always liked him, thought we should’ve drafted him, and even wanted to sign him.. didn’t think he’d be this good tho.

My issue last summer was hearing about the hefty contract, but especially giving up our pick to make space to sign him. That got me… felt it was poor management by our FO. Made bad signings and then cost the fan base our lotto pick to clean up their mess.

Out of anger, I think I even made a statement that there would be like 8 players from that draft that would turn out better than Brunson down the road… so far that’s looking like a really bad take

Without Brunson this team is a borderline play-in team. I expect to be even better next year since this was his first season and made an immediate impact.
Make the Knicks great again!

Yep I saw this. How could you watch him play and watch the Knicks play and not realize what kind of impact he’d have even at 75% of what he did this year?

Nothing craters a team more than bad PG play.

Likewise, I thought he'd help but not dominate. He's amazing. My favorite Knick in a long time.

We picked Mitch three picks later in the 2nd round. I wonder if we would have taken him then if he was available. Either way, I like having both.

Legler is cool. He made a mistake and owned up to it. I wish some of the people who post here could do the same. :D

How does Legler still have his bad after such a bad take? We'd all be fired in whatever job we have if we did something as bad as he did as a basketball analyst.

Btw Legler was kind of a scrub as a player.

Legler was one of the best 3 point shooters in the league at one time.

no doubt. and our defense in the backcourt is just as bad now as it would have been with those 2.

Facts. Defense would still suck but our offense takes a major leap. And most importantly we would be very entertaining

We could have theoretically tried to trade for someone that can make up for the defensive gaps in that more offensive centric scenario. RJ Barrett would have still been here (in the Mitchell scenario) and he is Canadian. 8-)
