The Spurs were one of the teams that came to mind when I mentioned that. That's one example along with Miami, who have managed to turn minimum contract players into valuable contributors seemingly since Spoelstra got there.mpharris36 wrote:
What Leon has done has done a great job building out the organization and presiding of the team.
From poaching Aller from the Cavs for cap/trade dynamics
From poaching Perrin from the Jazz (who consistently got value out of there late 1st round picks and 2nd rounders).
Obviously the Brunson connection trumps all but those two FO acquisitions have been massive to the org.
Yeah, the FO revamp from top to bottom has been massive. Rose also seems to have set up some clear hierarchies. It doesn't feel like there are different disputing factions in the Knicks' FO any more. We've come a long way from conspiracy theories about Steve Mills or Scott Perry sabotaging each other in a power-struggle.
yeah seems to be a lot of different voices which is a good thing but can be tricky to navigate and Leon has done a good job of setting up the hierarchies to put people in places they are successful in.
