Last night the Mikal Bridges that I know showed up. That was his near All Star form that comes out.

Now, if tomorrow he scores 14 points but plays the same level of defense that we saw last night....that is to be expected.

Let's build from here. This team's ceiling is nowhere near reached yet.

Hopefully just rounding the corner. Probably just taking him some time to adjust from playing with the Nets

I think so. Defensively his approach was so much better. It all starts there. He got used to conserving energy on defense with the Nets that he forgot that he's being depended on to lock down the perimeter with OG.

But the points he scored yesterday that stood out to me were the lay ups off of cuts. That's an easy 6 to 8 points right there if the guys can find him in the seams of the defense.

It's a process. I don't expect perfection but give me hard defensive effort, the rest always works itself out

By the way, if Josh Hart can keep his 3pt shooting in the upper 30s range I would be scared to play this team in April.

He seems like the type that will have games where he's confident and then stretches where he misses and dont want to shoot it.

It would take more than that from Ainge (and I would be OK to give it to him). There are reports they are definitely looking to deal by the trade deadline (while Markenen basically being the only near untouchable). If we were to go after Sexton (who I don't think we would even really need) it would mean including Mitch as that's the only way salaries work.

that is where we need Thibs to have a counter for that. We know how teams will play it now we need to execute vs it.

that is where we need Thibs to have a counter for that. We know how teams will play it now we need to execute vs it.

Too much stagnation when team switch with us. Good thing we know its an issue right now...should be plenty of time to work thru this during the season and be prepared for it during the playoffs.

All counters are really going to boil down to isolation against a switching team. We can pick and choose which matchups we want to exploit and then it is a matter of punishing it until they put two on the ball.
