BTW for a player like Mikal saying these things publically it must mirror some level of frustration within the entire team.

I didn't believe Thibs was getting fired this offseason but this has changed now. With these comments it is going to be difficult to justify keeping Thibs around---you don't want to go into the new season with this type of stuff hanging out there.

Thibs is done.

Only boss I respect is the Worl boss.

With this dude as a head coach you will never ever ever sniff a title. Like never.

Idk if Thibs is done but, players have been making comments for a while now. It's crazy that it even needs to be explained. It's crazy that people defend it. It's just crazy.

A question: Why do people who defend Thibs always have to come up with these ad hominem labels such as Minutes Poice or Thibs Haters for anyone who fairly criticize this man and his coaching ability?

They are the people who hang best record in February banners, think Thibs was actually Coach of the Year during the fake covid season and probably also said R_ was a good player.

While I agree it is hard to imagine a coach this successful being canned…

Mikal never missed a game since high school
He comes here and gets worn down 3/4 into the season
Whoever defends thibs is a f’n moron
I’d rather lose more games in the regular season, and have a fresh team in the playoffs than have a main player or two always injured in the playoffs
People who defend Thibs make no sense

It’s the frustration of all of us fans have had with Thibs for years
If he just keeps the team more fresh for the playoffs and dials back the minutes, we can advance further
If he just draws up more plays than relying on Brunson or d rose, other plays would shine and he wouldn’t shorten these guys careers, And we would have more offensive creativity

F**k thibs man, I can’t wait for him to be fired
I’ve been frustrated with this bum for years

I agree man, he’s done. If Leon rose has to pick between a guy they traded 5 picks for, vs. an archaic outdated coach, Thibs is gone. There’s no way he survives to next season if we are a second round out again.

Remember, Mikal didn’t say this out of nowhere, there has to be other players who think or feel the same.

More vile Thibs slander in here. Minucrat bots very active. Someone talk to Howard about moderating the site for hateful anti coach driven disinformation!

I think Mikal has abandoned the Thibs-Villanova axis of evil and joined forces with KAT, OG and Deuce in a coup to overthrow Thibs and his excessive minutes based style.

Only questions left are who is the next coach, and what is available for a Brunson-Hart trade package!

I'm glad the Knicks players were celebrating without Thibs. They should have left him in Portland for nearly coaching them to another loss.

Eh...he's going to be judged on playoff success at this point.

Thibs' strategy does work...Mike Malone used it to get a championship in Denver. It's just that Mike Malone has somehow figured out that there's a difference between the playoffs and a game against the Charlotte Hornets.

Without Thibs? What does that mean, he didn't join in the mob celebration on court?

I was thinking earlier, I don't think we saw a Thibs reaction shot right after Mikal's three. What does he do anyway, fist pump?
There goes my hero. Watch him as he goes.
