Mitch leaning in to foul the guy. He’s out of shape and has had some good +/-, but he’s really not a smart or very trustworthy player

And KAT was better on defense last night

Mitch is slow and mostly not OK out there — a step behind the action and some is conditioning, some is his inability to move or control his limbs and his offense is very far from NBA caliber

Don’t dislike Mitch honestly but clinically speaking, he’s a disaster

He shouldn’t play over Precious OR Huk longer term

facts, he got away with spam iso with Brunson and Randle. Now he really has to coach and draw up schemes and plays and he's getting exposed as he does in the playoffs.

Tom has been holding this team back all season long.

I'm glad Mikal spoke up and I hope this is the beginning of Tom's graceful transition to the front office. This roster needs a modern coach who isn't so stubborn and short sighted.

PJ Tucker has been a good addition if not for nothing, his cheer leading on the bench. I like that he's always amping guys up.

There were posts clamoring for Mikal to be more of a PNR handler similar to how he was utilized with the Nets.

Yup, me, NDOS & others have talked about it multiple times to the point it’s exhausting.

True.

Guys were even posting stats to show how Mikal needs more action as the pnr ball-handler because he's effective in that role.

Mikal is an excellent player. He is just being used wrong and is being overworked by an outdated, basic, stubborn, mediocre coach.

Nice call by Thibs to win it at the buzzer. Thibs keeps getting us wins that other coaches wouldn't.

you call a timeout the minute the refs said the ball was out of Scoot Henderson.

that is when you call the timeout to advance the ball like any respectable coach would do.

Too much goes wrong under your own basket late in games they need to foul.

The dummy called a timeout in the 4th with 40 seconds left and that was his last timeout...but then doesn't call one with 7 seconds left and 2 timeouts.

he a crutch we are carrying with our talent.
Anybody can call that timeout. A simple screen would have got Bridges open. Thibs is slow to react. Missed the opportunity.

I don't think your understanding. A player doesn't call a timeout on a dead ball they look to the coach.

Yes Hart could have called it in the moment just like thibs should have as well once they denied the inbound but I'm saying before that.

Players don't call dead ball timeouts...that is the coach to advance the ball once PORTLAND knocked the ball out of bounds..before the official even hands Hart the ball...Thibs needs to call a timeout to advance.
I understand very well, thank you. Anybody can call the timeout. Josh should have been keeping a count as inbounder. He can take 1 step in the direction of his pass. He lost it and took two. He was tunneled in on getting a pass off and forgot both. And yes, Thibs should have called the timeout when the trouvle started or advanced the ball but he wanted to use time on the clock and not be fouled right away as would happen in the advancement while giving Portland a chance to set up defences and plays.

This is going to force guys into different roles and the offense by usage is going to change dramatically.

We were surviving on Brunson brilliance. Now other guys have to step up including the coach...no more Brunson crutch to carry the load. We have to be more creative and innovative.

Lets see how all this shakes out but Knicks have a chance to come out better for this going into playoffs with guys getting expanded roles and when Brunson comes back we can hopefully be clicking.
Brunson isn't a crutch. He's the associate head coach's son. Rick is probably calling a lot when JB is in. Hence Divo's outburst.

Funny he played the same amount of minutes as usual. But credit Thibs for trusting him with the ball. Those fitst few minutes were brutal.

We let Scoot Henderson drop 30 on us? I hope we can figure it out but we look like a second-round exit playoff team to me right now.

Yeah but the game went into overtime. He averages those minutes in a 48 minute game

I was watching Portland announcer and it was so good. His voice dipped as the shot went in, pure heartbreak. "Bridges for the pull up! and its in."

same i was on a blazers stream too - kevin calabro is one of the best in the bizz. he let that **** die on air. really awesome way to capture the moment from a blazers stand point

We’re down bad if we’re getting this hyped needing OT to beat the 8th worst team in the NBA lol

Good win overall. Portland came out gunning but we showed them there’s levels to being mid that they haven’t reached yet
