KAT has already done more early in this series than Randle did in his years as a Knick over multiple series

People who still seek to pit them against them each other as if KAT is the one whose record needs to be defended are probably mentally ill

Absolutely. I’ve suggested that months ago and the fact that this is still going on doesn’t make it any better… it does ruin the board, however.

Agreed, but I will only comment on it in this thread where stupid ideas go to die

I mean, I wish we had gotten a healthy Randle these last two playoffs. But we didn't.

Towns defense this playoffs has been stellar.

Randle looks more like a team player and under control with a real coach.

We all know KAT is a bad game or two away from being lambasted. I'm happy with both them so far. My only complaint on KAT is he somehow doesn't have an offensive rebound in the series, which isn't really something I'm flaming him for.

That's how he was playing last season. Especially after I-Hart became the starter and the OG trade. It is funny where they are now, because earlier in the season, Finch was being compared to Thibs.

This might be one of the few teams where KAT's defense isn't a net negative because of the matchups. But I am impressed how active his hands on. One can reasonable suggest that the silly fouls he usually commits are less likely called in the playoffs.

It’s just a matter of him having more experience, not needed to carry a team as the first option through double teams like 2021, more playoff games under his belt, his own fanbase not ready to kill him every day, and not being injured like he was in the playoffs 2 years ago. If it’s coaching I guess maybe we should be concerned why Towns got benched by Finch for over 8 minutes to end a game they ultimately lost. While he just dropped 31 in a win here. Finch sucks

Would not have expected it, but he'd be more useful to us right now than Mitch has been

That could change possibly if Mitch plays better, but this last game he was truly awful

The previous versions of Mitch would be more valuable to us than Sims, but that Mitch is not with us presently

I do agree with Randle probably becoming more mature.

After many years with the Knicks FO letting him get away with everything, without disciplining him once and the fans even wanting to re-sign him after years of Randle acting like a fool, Randle must have realized that “if even the Knicks FO doesn’t want me anymore, I must have taken things too far.”

Then he looked at his contract and realized, I better get a new contract before I start acting entitled again.

The thing is, if you don’t try on defense for several years and then all of a sudden, you try for 16 games, then the first question people are going to start asking is, why didn’t you do this before? 16 games will not erase years of evidence
