I'm starting to get the hang of your posting style!

One of the most cringe worthy posts in this thread. We got the holy trinity of your trauma classics - Frank, Fizdale and Knox mentions. I don't even want to think of how much they hurt you, cause you can't go 2-3 replies without mentioning 1 of them in any thread.

Glad you can see how cringe these posts sound. my job here is done

My question is; if we are so quick to get rid of Mudiay who do we get at PG that is so much better at his age in free agency or the draft?

in 2013 after starting 8-0 we had a rough stretch from mid December to mid-late March! We finished strong 13-2 after we made a huge adjustment! Playing two playmakers in the starting lineup!

Brunson and McBride in the SL
Payne and Kolek off the bench

Issues fixed and solved…

Brunson / Payne
McBride / Kolek
Beidges / Hart
Anunoby / one of Achiuwa, Warren or Dadiet (or even Shamet)
Towns / Robinson
Strength and Honour!

I think we started 8-1 in the 2012-13 season.

Read on Twitter

We know Kolek can dime like Steve Nash, but scoring wise I think he is a Kyle Lowry type of guy who in playoffs would make all types of "how did he make that?" shots with sneaky veteran smarts, just get timely/ clutch baskets that beat/ demoralize other teams. He's our Kyle Lowry who we can depend on in playoffs for the next 10 years. 8-)

He wasn't even out there for most of it if I recall correctly. Nobody is saying he's our savior, but it was nice to get a glimpse of his potential with the starting unit. I can only imagine that he would be even more polished if he had gotten some burn throughout the season. 4 games in the G league, and a few minutes playing in garbage time once every few weeks didn't do anything to enhance his growth. IMO doing that to a young player hinders his development.

Well said.

You know where else he looked like a crafty floor general? Marquette. Consistently. Even when he was against bigger or quicker players, he willed shots and used his wits to create for his teammates.

He would have been a smart draft pick for any team at any position, because, well, he’s a good capable point guard.

Last night was not an anomaly, and shame on folks for treating it like it was for the sake of RealGM clout (I pity y'all for wanting that, lol). Give the guy props for looking like the exact player we knew he was coming out of college. Y’all are weird and the constant schticks replacing actual analysis and fun in 2025 makes this place the worst.

Just like chanel bomber's sig says, this board has lots of bad people

I checked and the week I said that Mudiay put up a 34pt game and two 32 pt games. It would take your boy Frank almost a month to score 34pts combined. This isnt even close

What if Kolek RIGHT NOW feels like he's a starting PG material, and he surely won't start at PG over JB, and very very very slim chance Thibs or new coach would start him with JB together next season, so WHAT IF he says to himself **** THIS I ain't a **** BENCH player !! asks for a trade??? Then goes on to become a budding star on his next team like when Nash went from Suns to Mavs the first time??

He's 24yo, so he has about 10-12 years career, which is not a lot of time if he has to work from bench to starting. I feel like he definitely feels like a starter and definitely gunning to be a star/ won't settle to be a bench type of player

Thought you said your job was done, brodie? And you actually went to check on Mudiay stats from 6 years ago? jesus christ.

And still bringing up Frank, fighting the ghosts of your trauma. You out here like

It is the same 6-8 people who do this and it's a shame, because it will never matter to them how well a player does. Once they get it in their heads they are going to mock a player and anyone who supports them they will dig in their heels and troll the board anyway.

There's always a goal post to be moved and a deflection to be made. Grimes scores a career high of 46 and they say he's on a tanking team with no pressure and call him Grimlikina like the little children they are.

I've said it a dozen times that Kolek led the nation in assists last year and you can easily make the case he was one of the best PGs in the draft, but they don't care.

The player is besides the point, they just want to control the narrative no matter negative they have to be to do it.

What claim? You losing it bro, checking Mudiay game logs from 6 years ago to try and debate over Frank in big 2025 is wild. Only fact I came away with is learning that the Mudiay wars never ended for you.

I'm just chillin watching you go crazy

I at least waited for Mudiay to score over 30pts in three games. Your boy score 4 pts once and Thibs was criminally holding back a top ten NBA player

Seeing Kolek give solid minutes is great. Hopefully we see more and he does become a good NBA player. Seems like a good dude and I like the way he plays. IMO his size will be his biggest hurdle. I don't know about everyone else but, I like rooting for rookies to succeed. Call me crazy. We have 4 guys to root for if they aren't traded away. Hopefully they can earn playing time from the HC moving forward.

Thibs will have him back on the DNP-CDs the moment McBride is healthy. It's the way it is.

Then we’d just trade him. He’s doesn’t look anywhere near as good as Quickley to me and we were in that exact situation and traded him so he could be a starter on the raptors and get paid and that’s how we got OG. And for some reason I can’t explain nobody really cared about this. Maybe we can build his value in the next year or so and use
him as part of the next trade package

If his value grew that much over two years then he might also be a keeper. It would be a good problem to have so it probably doesn't matter now what that future outcome is. He does need to play for either scenario to manifest though.

Kolek is very good at hitting the shooter in perfect stride. It's not as easy as it looks. It's the equivalent of getting the shooter an open shot.
