The preparation for Monday needs to be way better than this slop that we saw today

What he’s putting out there as offense has been a joke

But he’s got a 2-1 lead

If a coach wins, nobody cares

If he wins this series, nobody will care

If he loses, that offense is gonna start looking real questionable

I have a pet theory that on the road a team, with obstacles in front of them and forcing some unity, can do a few things to make up for a lack of a system …. At home it becomes more glaring

I think we basically play the same way home/road. Maybe we are a little more tight at home because we want to play well for the crowd we force some more things.

But the fact we can't get KAT easy looks all season is beyond belief. Celtics are basically saying we don't want Horford on KAT...we don't want KP on KAT...we don't want Kornet on KAT....

we don't want Brunson on some of there best guys but they are able to find that matchup.

We don't do any pre-screening or off ball screening to get KAT the right matchup. A shooter of his quality is never offball screen to get an open 3.

it's never felt like this lineup really works together that well. there's problems on both ends of the court.

The problems are not on the court. It's on the sideline.

No, it doesn't. I don't want to go digging through stats, but the offense has been a hoodwink since January.

Part of it is Kats fault. He needs to do some squats so he can punish Tatum in the post and learn how to set some picks. I know we all salivated at the idea of a Brunson Kat PnP but the man has no interest in setting a screen

Josh screening for Brunson instead of him screening off ball for OG or Mikal is so dumb.

Love Brunson but games like this where he's a non-factor on defense is why I can't rank him over Ewing. I want to see championship effort on defense, get some steals, be a pest, be scrappy, find a way to ignite the team even when the shot isn't falling. There's a reason we don't intimidate anyone at home, the effort has to start with the captain.

Mazzula with his embrace the darkness is so corny. He has tried so hard for years now to be this super serious, very few words spoken, profound basketball philosopher. It just reeks of a bonafide identity crisis.

Why did we switch to drop coverage instead of switching everything and forcing them to iso? Huge mistake.

Why aren’t we starting Mitch every single quarter because he’s our most impactful player in this series by far. Either they get into the bonus early or Mitch kills them in the paint and on defense. Hart has to be moved into a reserve role. This is getting ridiculous. Thibs is gonna wait until we’re down 3-2 before he makes this switch. Just watch.

Why is our offense so one dimensional and predictable and so easily defendable?

The starters suck because Josh is in the dunker's spot when really Mitch should be there as KAT helps to space.

The offense has Brunson, KAT, OG, and Mikal and doesn't generate remotely enough 3PAs.

This team plays like a group of friends at the YMCA looking for a run. It just seems like there's a lack of structure on offense. Boston's defense is good but it makes it really easy for them when everyone just stands around.

Yeah. They brought up a fair point at one point. The wings don't know where KAT's going to be, so they're left guessing (or something to that effect).

Good summary

G4 is basically Thibs’, KAT’s, and OG’s reckoning, unless you want to give OG a pass bc he won a title

KAT and Thibs … win that game or history is watching :noway:
