Granted, this was only one game, but it showcased how much Thibs smothered our guys with archaic methods and how everybody was finally able to breathe tonight.

Thibs' 7-man rotation, playing starters 40 minutes, and KEEPING them in the game with 2 minutes left and the game already won was suicidal. His choice to keep a guy like Kolek glued to the bench for no apparent reason was idiotic. Coach Brown fixed all that in 1 night -- and it worked.

Good win!!

Look at the minutes distribution. It’s like basketball porn.

What did the Knicks do to Shaq for him to be so negative about them?

Let's not forget how good the Knicks looked offensively to start last season so it's not how good they look now, it's how good they look after the all-star game and into the playoffs.

Kolek should play over Clarkson when everyone is healthy but he won’t so the next best realistic option is Kolek over Shamet when Hart is back. Clarkson can be the backup SG with Kolek at PG.

Tyler keeps the ball moving and have great vision. Which is why I wanted to draft him.

Just have to love OG. Even though he already got the bag, he continues to improve on his game. If his rebounding today becomes a regular thing, we could really get away with playing a lineup of JB/Deuce/Mikal/OG/KAT huge minutes.

KAT made a really dumb foul where OG drove from the corner and Karl grabbed Allen's arm to prevent him from helping. It was so obvious. And if just let Allen go, OG would have dished it to Kat for a dunk. I've seen OG make those passes.

I hope Karl can work on not taking dumb fouls

NYC > LA and Shaq is very insecure.

I don’t see them serving the same roles tbh. I mean, Clarkson as a PG? Good Lord. LOL

No, he can’t. His feet move too slow. It’s not his fault. It’s just how God made him.

Either Kolek or Brunson was on the court at all times against the Cavs. Everyone else was a secondary ball handler or played off the ball.

Clarkson as our Jcraw or Hubert Davis, when we lack the firepower or when everything fails, we may ride with him if he goes off.

The McBride, Brunson Shamet lineup can go lick a sack, but otherwise great rotations.

Monster games from the anti Thibs brigade. Deuce with 3 momentum changing 3 pointers. Played great defense for most the night. One of OG most complete games as a Knick. 14 rebounds from him was really unexpected and needed with hart and Mitch out. They were mostly contested rebounds too! Also felt like this was Mikal’s best 48 minutes defensively as a knick. I know he’s had big plays in other games but that was always for a possession or a quarter. I haven’t been a kolek believer and he at least proved me wrong tonight. Seems like something clicked with him during that Washington preseason game and had his best game in his career. Kat was an absolute warrior playing on a grade 2 calf strain. Funny that the guys brought in that bolster the bench were the worst guys in the rotation. Even worse than the 2 way guy.

I saw situational substitutions today....no more template rotations. It was like we time traveled to the modern NBA. Thibs used to play 7 guys.....that sounds absurd now.

Even with past success, it was after a long time I didn't just root for them to win, but actually enjoyed how we played.

Gonna be a fun year.

great and very important first win.
both teams had important guys out, so some awkward rotations.
Our wings were great, KAT came up big.
Kolek looked ready and I like how Hukporti moves.
Brunson terrible first game, but we survived.

Terry Johnson would’ve been fun to watch with this new offense and fortified bench.
