Should be ASAP. Enough.

The Heat apparently had no clue, the league kept the investigation under wraps.

The league also appeared to drag their feet for a bit after the sports book flagged the Rozier prop bets.

I look forward to Silver being questioned on live television over this. Anyone following PT's reporting can discern that something stinks over in Secaucus.

It sounds to me more like deliberate negligence than maliciousness but from the receiving end what's the difference? The Heat should have been notified. The league is simply in too deep with gambling interests and it's effecting their judgment.

I agree with you. I don't think this was a malicious act.

I think the league front office got caught with their pants down and made a series of poor decisions which negatively impacted one of their clubs.

I don't give a rats ass about the Heat tbh but if I was their GM and I gave up assets for a guy the NBA knew was in the middle of highly suspicious betting activity, I would want to fight Adam Silver because now he's putting my job at risk. That's nasty work.

This is only going to get worse

^the mob has their hooks into two players (Porter, Rozier) and 3 coaches (Billups, Jones, Lue).

Adam Silver probably isn't sleeping well these days. He let the wolves in and now they're nipping at his heels

Another point of interest (since this is coming from Riley) is if the Hornets even knew at that point. It really feels like the NBA has been trying to cover up the mess in the back so everyone can get their loot even if they're not technically in violation of anything.

I also hope Pablo Torre is using whatever money he's getting to invest in security for him and his family. He's doing actual journalism and this stuff is now crossing into an area that is highly dangerous.

I think it's fair to question the idea that Charlotte knew. The sports books went to the league directly. There's no evidence that the teams were alerted at the time of the bets being flagged.

The league lied by omission if anything

I don't know why anyone even gives a sh*t about this. Why the government would think we give a f*ck. I see all kinds of legal and illegal schemes being pulled left and right in the news every day and no one bats an eye anymore. The government doesn't really care, the elites don't care, the media doesn't care or is complicit and the people don't care.

Politicians and other public figures say shameful things all the time now, stuff that would have killed careers 20 years ago, and it mostly doesn't matter. Maybe some person who is getting appointed to something gets thrown under the bus here and there, rightly so, but hardly ever.

The country's moral compass is a joke. Mostly it's just people yelling and screaming for their team with little to no objective reality around true right and wrong, no sense of shame or duty.

Let them gamble. Rig a game. Play footsie with the mob. Why should I specifically give a f*ck?

Honestly buzz? I think you're 100% right. It's hard to not be nihilistic about any and everything in this country. I've come to detest everyday American life. What's the point anymore? I want nothing to do with anyone outside of my family.

But to answer your question, for me, I like watching train wrecks happen. Especially ones that were so easily predictable.

yep. the corruption is all out in the open now and we all just accept it. i kind of laughed when kash patel said that this conspiracy resulted in 10s of millions of dollars being stolen. that's absolutely nothing.

Seriously. Who gives a f*ck.

If I saw someone robbing a bank today I'd say "You go get yours!"

Facts. Nothing matters anymore. And food benefits for folks on the poverty line are being cut off tomorrow. Frankly if you have 7 million dollars to gamble away on poker and you get robbed blind by the mob, good for your dumb ass. Tough tits. Serves you right. I'm glad that happened to you.

Also:

If you see someone stealing anything from a store, you didn't. F*ck these all companies.

What’s craziest to me in all this is the focus on Chauncey Billups and Terry Rozier while I haven’t seen a single mob name mentioned on the news.
