What in the actual ****?
Should be ASAP. Enough.
The Heat apparently had no clue, the league kept the investigation under wraps.
The league also appeared to drag their feet for a bit after the sports book flagged the Rozier prop bets.
I look forward to Silver being questioned on live television over this. Anyone following PT's reporting can discern that something stinks over in Secaucus.
It sounds to me more like deliberate negligence than maliciousness but from the receiving end what's the difference? The Heat should have been notified. The league is simply in too deep with gambling interests and it's effecting their judgment.
I agree with you. I don't think this was a malicious act.
I think the league front office got caught with their pants down and made a series of poor decisions which negatively impacted one of their clubs.
I don't give a rats ass about the Heat tbh but if I was their GM and I gave up assets for a guy the NBA knew was in the middle of highly suspicious betting activity, I would want to fight Adam Silver because now he's putting my job at risk. That's nasty work.
This is only going to get worse
^the mob has their hooks into two players (Porter, Rozier) and 3 coaches (Billups, Jones, Lue).
Adam Silver probably isn't sleeping well these days. He let the wolves in and now they're nipping at his heels
