You guys need a junkyard dog as your leader..Okoro = a future Jimmy Butler - Andre Iguodala type ..He’s #1 on my BIG BOARD..He’s a lock to be an impact player..you can’t say that about anybody else in this pitiful draft

I want the Knicks to just trade for/buy a pick without giving up #8 or 2021 picks. I wonder what the highest they could conceivably get in that scenario, especially considering the dire financial straits so many teams find themselves in presently. Absorbing bad money should be so much more valuable in this draft because of COVID, and when coupled with the perceived lack of high-end talent this year it could result in a never before seen ability to trade up without having to give up significant talent and/or draft capital.

Stephon Curry ... Never forget!

Okoro isn't Jimmy Butler, offensively, tho. We have Mitch, RJ, and Frank as defenders. We need some offensive talent. We can get that and more from Haliburton imo.

Yeah I agree... some don't see a few reasons why this is not as lopsided as it first appears

* 28 million when you didn't take in the norm (pandemic) is a huge savings
* Knox 'may' have a good year - he's still young
* 4 talent vs 8 talent in this draft is not a big difference
* Porter has not played well since he got paid
Yep. Buy folks let their extreme dislike, massive disappointment and/or undying hate for Knox convince them that this is a great trade.

I haven't really been glued to the subforum for a few days. Is the idea that the Knicks get #4 instead of #8 at the cost of a $22m (or w/e) salary cap hit (which is presumably affordable if they aren't in win now mode)?

That just sounds like a terrible idea. What use would anyone have of the #4 pick over the #8 this year?

Explain to me like I'm a 5 year old what I'm missing here, please.

this is something people forget when they are talking about the KP trade. maybe we get a really high pick out of this after all.

thoughts:
I am not for moving up after all. But IF we do, I would make sure to get #1 or #2 to draft Ball or Edwards.
the other picks who are expected to go that high don't make much sense or I'm not that high on.
Wiseman: I rather have Mitch and I'm looking to get a 3rd building block instead of possibly upgrading one.
Avdija: I think he can't play with RJ. both are playmaking SF without 3 point range. and I think RJ is way better...
Obi: I'm not sold
Hayes: I would trade up for him if I think he is the answer at PG, but you don't need to get up to #4 to get him

Hayes, Haliburton or Vassell at #8 (in that order).
Nesmith, Terry, Williams or Lewis in a trade down.
thats all i can accept.

I got Hayes, Okoro and Nesmith... see no logical reason why one of Hayes or Okoro won't be there when we pick

I’d also throw Saddiq Bey in here.

Can totally see the Spurs selecting him and immediately being a good player.

They said he was up to 174 but he's got time to get stronger. If strength is his biggest weakness that's something very fixable. I like his skill set

Give him an awful coach, and he might be in that role.

He's still a long distance shooter and Ish is more of a penetrating guard. His floor is closer to Seth Curry
