I dont think he would risk the tank. He will make a deal before the season or very very early in the season. Nobody wants to budge now though

I mean come on. The hawks and wizards have nothing to make a trade for Mitchell work lol. Especially the hawks. How would that lineup even go with Trae Dejounte and Mitchell lol.

Trying to up the price talking about teams interested but we all know that those two teams can’t put a competitive offer together.

It’s the Knicks heat or a mystery team like Okc orlando or pels going in for Mitchell.

Don’t sell me this kings hawks wizards bs

Honestly Ainge is just playing the waiting game...he believe he has time on his side and an impatient owner on the other (for a star).

You'd be an awful negotiator if you seriously lost interest in an asset (ANY asset) only because you were impatient.

It'd be one thing if you lost interest in Spida because of Spida -- but to lose interest because you're tired of waiting??

:banghead:

I already explained myself

The more I wait. The more I think about the defensive liability Brunson and Dmitch backcourt will be

Keep in mind these guys are not Fournier and Kemba. Fournier and Kemba have no ability to play D. Mitch and Brunson have ability to play some level of D. I don't think they will be nearly as bad as some think under a defensive minded coach in Thibs.

The KD trade will probably happen before the Mitchell deal.

I mean it depends on cave...grimes + obi + 5/6 1sts I don't think is a cave, I think that is just realistic value. I just don't think they will do Grimes+IQ+Obi+7 1st rounders or whatever Ainge initial price is.

I think the Knicks want some level of negotiating. Ainge on the other hands doesn't tend to negotiate...he sets a price and waits. The factor in this is Donovan Mitchell though, publicly hasn't said boo...it will be on his agents and his shoulders to move Ainge off his position.

so whats the perspect BOS/Nets trade?

Brown/Smart and a couple 1st rounders for KD?

BOS has Brogdon and White as well to cover for the loss of Smart. I think I would do that. Tatum/KD/Robert Williams is an insane front court.

I think Brown/Grant Williams/Prichard work $$$ wise as well

Are the knicks of all sudden going to be super cautious and slow play things? Is dolan really going to sit back and let Mitchell slip through his fingers? Is danny ainge all of sudden going to lose a trade and give away Mitchell for much less then a kings ransom? We all know the answer to this.

The only thing that matters is what the Knicks actually do.

Of course but until that happens all we are do is left to speculate. I just see too many posts where team doesn't need to x, I wouldn't do y but none of that matters what do you think will happen?

I don't see Ainge ever backing down from his ask and selling Mitchell for less than he feels he is worth.

Lol man Marcus Smart is mad overrated. I get not wanting to trade Brown but drawing the line at Smart is ridiculous when they were ready to trade him a year ago. And don’t give me that DPOY ****, he wasn’t the best defender last year

I think Derrick White can replicate a lot of what he brings.

If the Celtics land KD, I could see Riley going all in for Mitchell if we continue to drag our feet. It’s pretty obvious the Knicks will cave before the Jazz do.

Plus the market might reset itself again if the KD trade is a huge haul for the Nets like the Jazz return for Rudy
