keeping it real Mecca...seems to me that you overvalued your position and contracts based on what was presented so far...
I mean its very obvious your inactivity was the main reason too..

correct, which is why you should find the people that move similar to you so you can find a partner(s) to dance with.

Have you offered your first round picks to move them?

To be fair, y'all are kind proving his point. If he had to wait two years to even add picks to get off of contracts (but he wants to rebuild as a young team), it goes against what he wants to do. If any of these guys are tradable, surely people would be lining up to message him for them?

I may not agree with the method of waiting two years to play hard-ball/raising this issue up, but I see his position.

It sounds like he had multiple opportunities to move off his bad contracts and even acquire cap space/picks in return

Too often the common courtesy / rapport factor is lost on some of these GMs.

I’ll never understand GMs who leave people on read, refuse to counter or offer any perspective on why they decline a proposed deal, and largely fail to see value in a simple human element such as negotiating with candor and timeliness.

I’ve created solid relationships with fellow GMs just by being willing to answer PMs, close gaps on trade views via open communication lines, and having a strong enough rapport that we could work through difficult multi-team deals to close, when at times it didn’t always look promising.
