Boozer probably sees himself as a starter and is looking to get significant minutes.

If they sign a PF like Boozer, my assumption is that they are comfortable with Porzingis as the third string center when needed, behind Lopez and O'Quinn. Also, that Williams will be playing a lot more of the 3 than we initially expected. And that Porzingis may likely backup Boozer at the 4.

I just don't see Boozer willing to accept an 17-22 minute bench role and that is where I would want him.

Not that I'd think he'd be a good fit, but Boozer did only average 23.8 mpg last season and started just 26 of the 72 games he played in. I honesty don't see any team that would give him a promise of starter's minutes right now. He's basically Amare Stoudemire...a guy that can score and rebound a little that you bring off the bench and use as needed due to age and awful defense.

not saying I want him but he played that exact same role on the Lakers last year. A 22-23 minute a night bench player.

That's exactly what he was for the Lakers, and I don't see anyone else offering him a starting position at this point

Not sure. But unless he wants to be happy playing in Italy or Spain or China, I'm not really sure he has much choice. The only places he'll get starting minutes and be the focus offensively is somewhere outside the NBA.

Boozer is finished, imo. He's a shell of his former self and even then - I personally thought he was overrated. Sims, Hollins, Javale, are all better options imo. I'd even resign Dalembert b4 Booooozer. Did I mention I think he's done?

There's enough solid veterans on the Knicks roster right now they don't need to bring in guys who aren't providing solid contributions on both ends of the floor because they are vets.

The rest of the empty spots can go to younger guys being developed.

I'd take Carlos Boozer. He can score. Defense became an afterthought when they foolishly let Aldrich go.

If Boozer were in supreme (I still want to play shape) I would be interested in him.

He does 2 things that we don't do well -- he can score in the post and he will rebound.

Would depend on how in shape he is but I think our pace of play might work with him.

We really don't have much offensive talent on this roster -- even an old Boozer can score better than 75% of this roster. Picture what Boozer would do to guys in Summer League play.

Boozer cant post up efficiently. He just uses mid range jumpers.
His defense is Amare level bad. Maybe worser...

Rebounding isnt a issue for us. RoLo, melo, o'quinn are good rebounders. J.grant/affalo is also good for their,positions.
D.williams/amundson are decent rebounders too.

There isnt good post scorers for vet min. Jeremy Tyler looks good. Maybe a Euro Center like ante tomic could work for 3rd center spot. But all in all we're fine.

Melo can post up. Rolo has some post moves. D.williams/porzingis have face up game.
O'quinn amundson can score in painted area.
Our frontcourt has enough offensive skills.

I think we need a.shved but he wont come so we should look for veteran sg/sf or just try mcgee/bynum type gamble.
