The tweet said we're interested in Boozer, not A boozer.
I think you're a little confused.

I've read here that there is a 7'2 center overseas (last name begins with a G IIRC) that is supposedly on the Knicks radar. This was discussed on these boards pre-summer league but haven't heard anything about him since.
What's his name? Scouting report/BIO etc., and how sure are we that he may be a future Knick?

If they sign a PF like Boozer, my assumption is that they are comfortable with Porzingis as the third string center when needed, behind Lopez and O'Quinn. Also, that Williams will be playing a lot more of the 3 than we initially expected. And that Porzingis may likely backup Boozer at the 4.
I just don't see Boozer willing to accept an 17-22 minute bench role and that is where I would want him.
Not that I'd think he'd be a good fit, but Boozer did only average 23.8 mpg last season and started just 26 of the 72 games he played in. I honesty don't see any team that would give him a promise of starter's minutes right now. He's basically Amare Stoudemire...a guy that can score and rebound a little that you bring off the bench and use as needed due to age and awful defense.

I love Wright as a vet backup SF. He's still only 29 years old and has a versatile game that fits in the triangle. Sign him, waive Ledo and sign Seth Curry for some sweet instant bench scoring:

Curry's game fits the triangle and you can play him in the backcourt with our other long combo guards, Jerian Grant and Galloway. Phil Pressey (Celtics just waived him) is another nice young backup guard prospect. He's not a good shooter but he's a fantastic defender. Austin Daye could be another nice young backup SF (played in the Spurs and Hawks systems the past couple of years, great scorer and shooter). Maybe take a look at Tyler Hansborough as a backup 4 (He might come cheap and is the active rebounder and defender Fisher likes). Round out the lineup with some more vets to strengthen the locker room leadership: Elton Brand, Caron Butler, etc. and you have yourself a nice, balanced, gritty team.
