I'd prolly do that too. He might be better than Melo at this point

Might be? Come on dude.....just as lethal as at scoring, younger and less broke down, better at elevating his team play. It's not very close at all.

I guess they wouldn't mind Harden committing less than 13 turnovers by sharing the ball a little bit more.

they are much better players than Rondo and Ellis. But it is still a clumsy fit. Both aren't catch and shoot guys. So while it will take a load off of Harden. Harden is pretty useless off the ball. He does almost all of his damage with the ball in his hands. And Lawson doesn't play off of the ball either.

They both thrive with the ball, but both are good enough shooters to handle being off the ball. And both can get to the lane, so it's not a terrible fit after looking at it for a bit. The Rondo/Ellis comparison is just silly.....as both Harden and Lawson look like Ray Allen and Reggie Miller shooting wise compared to those two.

its not just the offensive fit. Beverley made up for a lot of hardens short comings. Harden and Lawson will also be a horrendous defensive duo.

the rockets are secretly run by Isiah Thomas

they just go after whatever names they can and hope star power propels them

they won't get past the spurs, Clips or GS

Harden has the ability to completely take over a game but team-wise they are lacking what these massively deep teams have

They did get to the Conference finals so that is selling them short. I am not sure if they get past the Spurs or some of the other teams, but I think it was a good gamble for them. I am not sure if Lawson will get his act together or not, but if he does the Rockets could probably use an upgraded 6th man that can make plays on the perimeter and take pressure off Harden especially when he is out of the game. Or just another threat on the perimeter in general

If they're smart, they'll have Lawson come off of the bench.

I'm hoping that Houston targets Melo as a stretch 4 and maybe that Melo would agree to go there.

Maybe we walk away with D-Mo, T-Jones, S-Decker & KJ --- other stuff.

Houston goes small with .....

Lawson
Harden
Ariza
Melo
Howard

I would. Harden is 25 which fits better with the 2-3 year development window of Porzingis and gives the Knicks a bit more time to build the correct way.

Most of us dream of 2 hot chicks at the same time, so sure why can't we like both Mudiay and Kristaps?

Then go hang out on the Nuggets board with TKF.

On second thought..ok...Kristaps it is.

Can't wait to have that mediocre foundation for the next 5 years!! Sam Dekker is going to be a real stud right? And Terrence Jones is a game changer for sure!!

Yes - what you have now is so much better.

Maybe we should wait so that Melo can recruit all those stars that want to play with him -- oh wait we already did that.

Yeah, don't see the need. Papanikolau would be more interesting since the Knicks need some SF depth and Papa does seem to play like a NY type player (tough, with his emotions on his sleeve). It also would be coming full circle in a different way since the Knicks drafted Papanikolau originally.

Agreed. I think he could definitely be waived because he's owed 4.8 which is unguaranteed. Im crossing my fingers he is waived because he could be a nice player on this team (hopefully along with the addition of maybe Seraphin and a backup 2 guard who can score)

I would be fine with Booz. We need that scoring badly and I think he can work along with guys like Lopez/O'Quinn.
