Meh.. don't really care for Boozer, but wouldn't mind him since it'll be a dirt cheap contract

Well Boozer did rank higher than Taj Gibson last season in terms of Estimated Wins Added, Value Added, PER and Rebounding Rate.

Worse value over replacement player, worse defensive rating, fewer win shares / win shares per 48, lower TS%, and is a black hole (on top of the **** defense, pouting to refs, and the sounds he makes every time he gets bumped). If people hated Amar'e, they'll hate Boozer just as much (if not more).

Would Boozer instantly be our best rebounder or am I dreaming on that point?

He'd be second to Melo imo. RoLo isnt gonna all of a sudden gonna grab 10 a game, neither is whomever plays the 4.

When you have inefficient shooting and likely this team will miss alot of shots, unless some fountains of basketball youth come to life, you have to have superior rebounding to secure another chance to hopefully hit the shot.

Boozer defense is really bad, that's why I would have to say no even though he can score and rebound. I do think his defense eclipses both of his strengths.

We could do much worse than Carlos Boozer with the $2.8 million exception. Obviously his biggest liability is on the defensive end...but is Carlos Boozer's defense (or lack thereof) the reason we won't be winning a title this year?

I would be in favor of signing boozer who i think can be had for the vet min. We need more scoring and we can cover up his defensive deficiencies with Lopez and O'Quinn

The Bulls couldn't cover up his defensive weaknesses - there's no reason to think we can cover them up with a worse defensive team / without an site defensive coach. You want him as a scorer, fine, but expecting him to even play passable defense (or expecting us to hide his **** defense) is asking for too much.

If we go with Boozer what position do we fill with the last spot? Is there still room for Bynum or do we go for a shooter?

I'll take Boozer on a one year contract. Why not? I know he's a crap defender, but he's a wise old man and could help toughen up our youngsters.

It's getting pretty slim out there. This wouldn't be that bad IMO (again, right price, right length contract).

Still hoping Jose is moved by the dealine. I want maximum space for Durant. Plus we really need an upgrade to an aging veteran who can't help us now. Though I don't feel Grant is ready we still need to look for a Jose replacement. Pablo on a veterans minimum deal should be enough to move Jose's deal without losing that vet leadership.

Skill wise probably not but when you factor vet leadership, rebounding, price tag, offensive fit. Yes , sad but true. I want Bynum but he's probably too much of a headache right now.
