yeah pretty dope track. I hear what you're saying about the production too. That's the main thing drawing me in right now even though I do like his style.

Yeah thats one of the main reasons they winning. Darringer is prob the best right now in capturing 90's production from new cats. You can tell he studied hard. I like that he is stubborn and is not throwing modern drums etc etc in his beats.

you know if they got a co-sign or pass from Ghost and Rae for using this sound? I know Ghost had an issue with Action Bronson not too far back and I thought it was over him sounding so much like Ghost when he spit.

I doubt Rae and Ghost would have issue. Conway and Gunn is respected for what they putting it out.
But seriously what is **** with this beat from new cats....

I will take a Havoc(my fav producer) track over a bunch of Dillas beats. He not wack, but this dude is talked about as if he better than Prime RZA and the likes.
Whoa... Been appreciating your conversation from afar fellas but this is where I have to step in... I come in HipHop peace and expression
I like Havoc as producer but I gotta say he isn't anywhere near the level of Q-Tip or Dilla...
First off, this is a true story it's over the net for research... Mobb Deep's now classic Infamous album had huge issues with it... **** wasn't coming together and the sonics were crap... Loud Records called in Q-Tip as a consultant for the record to put it back on track...Yeah he got his credit for the couple joints he produced on the record but he was much more involved than what is actually known...
The reverse happened with Dilla where Q-Tip was calling him to be involved with Tribe and the Ummah... The reason why Dilla gets held in such high regard is because he was able to actually make different sounds... The best of the best often get trapped and become stagnate... Premo, Beatminerz, Pete Rock, Havoc, etc etc all found a dope sound that could work for them but then they went with a "if it ain't broke don't fix it" mentality till they were no longer relevant... You listen to Dilla production... First you had the smooth, jazzy, filtered grooves of Pharcyde/Tribe/Slum Village Jaydee... Then you had the more grimy Welcome to Detroit/Like Water from Chocolate Dilla... Then you had the D'Angelo/Badu/Spacek Neo-Soul Dilla.... Then you go to his breakbeat style of MadLib/Donuts... I never needed it but when producers and artists like Pharrell, Kanye, Q-Tip, Questlove and even Dre, etc etc preach the Gospel of how amazing Dilla was, I think you have to take it as face value.
I am just thankful I got to see both Phife with ATCQ and Dilla both Djing and performing with Slum Village before they passed. I've also seen Mobb Deep live (Got gassed by Police after the Show)... Mobb was third on the list for live shows in that regard as well...

This is your opinion. Havoc is better than him to me. Also you quoted me on who I said was my FAVORITE. is that really up for debate? You kinda jumped out the window.

My opinion and as I said many other producers and artists favorite as well... So in my book it goes a bit beyond just favorites and points to actual skill sets... Thats fine though Havoc is your personal fav, and you're right I can't debate that. My apologies... However, you have also been giving back handed compliments to two of my favourites (Q-Tip and Dilla) for the better part of two pages discussing your knowledge of hip hop history and debating Tribe's value in Hip Hop... You just slammed any Dilla fan that claims he is better than prime RZA (He is, and I demonstrated why up above)... Is that not a debate?
Facts are your own favorite producer calls Q-Tip his mentor and that he learned much from him Production-wise and Q-Tip says that Dilla is the best to have done it... I think the case for the impact of Q-Tip, Tribe, and Dilla is much more impactful than what you are giving them credit for.

don't be upset about what I said about Dilla. I don't think he is all that and that won't change. I also gave him props in saying I don't think he is wack. If anything you admitting you was butt hurt to come this late into it and start a "debate" on who is better when I never said Havoc was better than him. You can't demonstrate anything. A **** load of fans would say RZA is better as well. Are you mad I am not a fan of the Tribe like that? I fully told Remi I respect them. So for you come in with your so called "facts" is futile. Dilla is that dude to you. I get it.

Just stop man. Dilla is that dude to you. I get it.
Ummm, lol... No I don't have any idea of who you are and unless you are some amazing producer I know of in hiding, the strawman statement gets you no extra credibility points... I'll go toe on toe with you on the knowledge of Hip-Hip History anytime, if all we are doing is just making big bravado statements about ourselves rather trying to demonstrate some actual knowledge.
Saying Dilla "is not wack" is not a prop... That's like a female saying "You ain't bad looking," so you aren't ugly, but you certainly aren't getting laid either. Secondly, stop bringing the fan mentality into it, it's horrible argument. A **** of fans could also state Drake is better spitter than Rakim, does that make them right? NBA fans vote in the wrong Allstars all the time, are they right? Would you listen to a coaches/players opinion on who the better players are or would you listen to a fan?
As I said, Q-Tip was responsible for the sonics of your Favorite producer's one and only classic album... In other words you are praising Havoc but actually liking Q-Tip... If that's not schooling, I don't what is... I'm also sure a man with the name "IllmaticHandler" obviously knows Q-Tip was on that record as well... Finally, I'm not mad or butt hurt at all. If you don't want to like Tribe/Dilla that's fine with me... However, just as you have the right to marginalize them (and that's what you have been doing), I also have the right to elevate them.
Keep loving your Mobb Deep, CNN, Mic Geronimo, Wu sounds, I'm not hating on them...

Good now move on... You want to debate this I don't. I finished all of that with Jremi way back in November, and could careless about debating tribe and Dilla at this point. A dude Saying the Mobb only has one classic album is not worth my time. I get that on the raptors board there is nothing to do, but I'm good over here talking about Dilla and Tribe vs anyone else.

Really sad Isa left the game after one tape. Was really looking forward to him taking over the game. This track been in my head for damn near a month.
