Melo Thread #????? - Update PG 58 - 4-way scenarios explored (In Georgia?)

the knicks will run more and get more easy points. but when they get forced in the half court they're gonna be really bad. they have no real point. they have no great individual scorer. you will see a lot of hero ball from timmy or kp because there will be no other option.

Two guys playing hero ball, even if each is less capable than Melo, is about the same as one guy playing hero ball. But in other parts of the game, I think they'll just look better. More entertaining. Ish was depressing the last couple of years.

I think they can turn the corner, is all I'm saying, and be watchable. But I agree that Timmy and KP will struggle in big spots.

KP struggled in a lot of games without Melo. Everyone likes to kill Melo but he still draws double teams, except for a handful of the top wing defenders that could defend him straight up.

Kp has that kille instinct. He will be ok. You can say Melo wasnt in that PHX game either haha 13 points 3-15 shooting.

I am not saying we shouldn't trade Melo. We should. I am just saying that I can understand Why KP liked playing with him... took attention from him and made his life easier. He struggled when he was the guy getting the double teams, not a shock for a young player. I expect him to learn to be the alpha dog, but it isn't such a mystery he liked playing with Carmelo. Plus, a lot of guys like Carmelo. Maybe he isn't the best guy ever to play with stylistically, but there is tons of evidence he is pretty well liked.

I really believe the CLE rumors are leaks to push Morey's hand. Like we aren't the ones disposing of Leonard, you are. Or we will go somewhere else. HOU needs to give up the additional asset to move leonards deal and I believe that is where the pressure is now coming from CLE.

To me it means the deal is getting close.

Are the Clev rumors from anyone legit though?

He's got the most go ahead field goals made within 5 seconds or left in clutch time since like 06. Once Melo is gone your problems will still be there. It's the owner the one who you have to get rid of.

He obviously has work to do... pretty common for a 21 year old... even a 21 year old projected to be a franchise player. It is a process obviously, and we have to bank on him getting there. If he doesn't, it's a killer.

I don't really understand why folks think replacing Melo with THJ is going to get KP more shots.

this is year 3. this is the year guys usually make the biggest jump. you just gotta hope he can and wants to carry the offense. you gotta give him the chance and see what happens.

still have KOQ and Courtney as potential trade partners.

I get potato head says Lee would stay if Melo goes. Somehow I don't see it. If Harkless is in the trade we are going to start Hardaway and Harkless at the wings.

THat would free up Lee for a trade. Also KOQ is a 1 year rental at this point since we probably wont sign him for big $$$ so I think he is a tradable asset as well. To possibly get a point guard.

THJ will be easier for Horny to rein in. He won't have the clout Melo has <insert gif of Melo ignoring Horny's playcall>
