First thing off the Circles album that Mac Miller was working on to compliment Swimming when he died.
Crazy to be in his headspace again, though this is a bit more happy/optimistic than Swimming.

Sometimes silence is the best thing you can contribute to a conversation
after what he did to Moses Moody's name, I got DJ K. Perk in a Verzuz battle against ANYBODY

Always thought Jay Electronica was trash and that he was only appreciated because he provided a feeling of intellectual superiority to its listeners.
Thought Conway underdelivered with Lulu. It's a cool tape, but the bars are a 7/10 at best. Good, not great.

Is anybody else enjoying these VERZUZ matchups as much as me? The T-Pain vs Lil John one was really fun, and the Ne-Yo vs Johnta Austin also was great. I'm literally planning the rest of my week around being ready and settled in with some alcohol on Saturday night, because this sh*t is going to be absof*ckinglutely CRAZY.

Haven't been able to because of other things, or because they didn't hold your attention?
Babyface vs Teddy Riley is on for this coming Saturday.
The internet has been pushing a Busta vs Luda matchup, which would be really fun no matter who you think would win (Busta, easily).
Today Diddy jumped into a Live to let JD know that he was calling him out. Those two would be another MONSTER clash in terms of the pure fun we'd have watching it.

Not that it would happen, but I wish we could set up a bracket of like 32 and do it big. It would be awesome to see the battles, similar to how Blaze and Alchemist did it.

I get that, but I'm glad they're doing it the way they are and NOT like that...for now. Part of what makes these matchups so enjoyable is that they're just having fun in a time when everyone needs an escape. Sure there's a always a level of competitiveness to anything that wildly successful people do, but the overriding vibe in these "battles" is one of communal celebration where nobody has to take an L - official or otherwise. RZA and Preemo were having so much fun with each other - talking about how the other guy's selection was the hardest/illest/greatest record in it's category EVER, or how it motivated them to do their own masterpiece. Same with TPain/Lil John.
Just look at how Teddy is billing his "battle":
I think that's why Swizz and Timb are curating the whole thing so carefully - they want it to be something that does nothing but build up and celebrate the culture - more an online party than a competition - and it's been nothing but that (well, except for The Pen, as noted above by 3THM, before he got it together at the end of his battle with the Dream

Yeah but RZA wasn't nearly as fun as Preemo, Preemo is just a walking bundle of joy when it comes to music. RZA for half the stream was trying to get things set up and wasn't nearly as fun IMO, but it was enjoyable no doubt. I also thing they went this route because Blaze put on a clinic against Swizz. I think all these producers have enough respect for each other, there's no bad blood in these.

Re: Official Rap/Hip Hop Thread V
This dude is probably my favorite rapper right now and he doesn't even do music anymore i think. Crazy to me i feel this dude is immensely talented..Like he's better than most mainstream rappers out there right now. Most people dont even know this guy but i'd pay money to watch him perform no doubt.
