As much as I think Smash will eventually trade #1 you can’t go wrong ether way. It must be pretty sweet having the top pick in the draft. There are so many possibilities that can open up with an asset like that.

Well for BAF purposes, if you take a player in the first and he hits, the extension makes the picks worth way more than in real life.

Luka - 90
Morant - 114
Bagley... oh, poor fella.

Where as you saw rookies from the initial auction draft get paid way more than rookies that were being in the draft. I'm curious to see what would happen if we restarted and had more of the rules in place. It's not that teams weren't smart with their cap or anything like that, we were just learning on the fly and making rules as they were needed. Teams that started with the all youth plan and were willing to eat years of losing are literally light years ahead of teams now, it's going to be real interesting to see what happens in two more years when most of the league are free agents.

As far as Smash goes the pick has probably already been traded or is being offered to one of young guys drafted in the past few years just because of the extensions.

Yea Luka @ $90/5 is not only mind blowing, but has to be the best contract in the game by far. He’s already top 5 in the league.

$59 and averaged 14/8 at PF in the SIM last season. I'll take it.

But I can expect a lack of patience and rush to judgment from the GM who traded young Lauri for heartbroken Love, and took on salary to do it.

I’ll be honest...I wasn’t paying much attention to it because it didn’t pertain to me, or so I thought, because I still have yet to make a single draft selection...

But seeing these contracts for Luka/Ja and many others...it’s scary to think what this game is going to be like in a few years. It’s almost not even worth the time...
