Shamet has highest FGJ on my team despite worse 3P% IRL than Redick, Harris, Kennard, and Hood.

There is no rhyme or reason to these SIM ratings. What are the algorithms based on?

its almost like they know who's on each team and they give everyone some good ratings and some bad ratings.

also like how do they give rookie ratings?

I mean RJ Hampton with a 100 jumper on my team?

MPJ with only a 65 jumper and he shot over 40% (he is my best shooter).

I was looking at some of the other rookies LaMelo only has a 61 passing? Like he is legitimately elite passer...but they gave him 80 defense? Like how do you give LaMelo better defense than passing?

I can't explain a lot of the ratings...I won't get into who I think is rated to high or to low but I will say that the rookies this year are not really based on much. I believe I read that the game was going to update in late December-early January and re-release with an updated version after they got a chance to watch the rookies play some. They really had nothing to go on since most of the rookies haven't been seen in nine months. Tbh, I think they just gave the guys projected to go at the top of the draft the best overalls and randomized a lot of the other numbers. The game was being put together in the summer to get ready for a mid Fall release. They really had very little to go on which is why I think the rookie ratings are pretty random.

We could have waited another 4-8 weeks for the truer rookie numbers to be updated but IMO it wasn't worth it as they really wouldn't influence the game to much. That reward wasn't worth the wait IMO.

And again, I don't know what the numbers actually mean. It isn't a perfect system by any stretch but at the end of the day, the teams who are projected to win have generally won and the players stats come out pretty close in most cases to their actual numbers.

Happy with Fournier's ratings across the board. He's rated 3 stars overall but strong ratings in FGI, FGJ and SCR is nice to see.

Chuma's rating is very solid as well.
