this Mavs team might be Luka injury away from giving us a top 5 pick

Never wish for an injury, but their over reliance on Luka might lead to one.

he missed 10+ games in each of the last 2 seasons and I've seen him grabbing his knee a bunch. w/ his usage, I wouldn't be surprised if he were to miss some time

Luka wasn't even all that good this game. Yeah he had nice stats, but if you watch the game he never really took over. I bet he blames this loss on his teammates though

Trying not to do this because the team deserves to win with their effort, but man I wouldn’t mind having 2 top 10 picks in this draft.

First time in two decades we're sitting on picks waiting to see how they turn out. TBH, it started with Phil, that dick.

Yes a very strange position to be in...

half way decent team .
Burgeoning youth movement
Cap space
And then the multiple picks...

Even Steve Mills gets a little vindication if this pick pans well.

I hear you. But he did have the reins for the KP trade.

I really want 2 top 10 picks

I'm also curious if they'd be able to land another lotto pick for Randle (Kings?). helps 2-fold: gives us another pick in the lotto and strengthens our odds. even if they don't move up, they'd have the ammo to do so w/ the extra picks

Rockets are on fire, they've won 5 games straight. Wood looking like AD-lite. That contract is a steal for Houston. I kind of wished Harden stayed. If he bought in that team could of been dangerous.

probably a better chance Julius “Magic” Randle gets extended than us trading him

I still want to wait a couple more weeks before I ship Dallas into the lotto but I definitely apologize to anyone who had/has aspirations of such - I had no idea Dallas was going to be this bad. And we all know KP usually starts strong and finishes flaccid. When you take the strong starts away ... I don't think we've even seen the depths of his floor yet.

We wouldn’t trade Randle until after the Lottery..... if we have two lottery picks ourselves, it would be smarter to see if we win on our own and hen use Randle based on that.

We're on the right path, the dream season would be us making the playoffs, the Mavs missing them by a few games, and us getting Cade because of it
