I'm a fit guy. DeMar as the starting 2 creates the same issue we had with RJ and Randle with spacing. I also don't think DeMar can or should guard 2 guards. I would certainly prefer him off the bench. It does a couple of things, such eliminate the need for a ball handler when Josh isn't running the fastbreak, go-to scorer when JB and Randle are sitting (or off), insurance for OG and Randle (I'm predicting 70+ games for OG next season, though, because he "needs" it end of season allocates like all defensive team) if they get hurt.
Though, I'm not sure if his priorities is money or contention. Hard to imagine he's a Bull when the dust settles. He's the only official free agent I'm curious as to where he'll land, because I think he works out on teams like 76ers. By trade, I can't see a Cavs fit if Garland is traded.
For a fit guy you’re strangely averse to trading for towns, a 7‘0 shooter.
Signing and trading are different things.
I wouldn't trade Randle for KAT (and like I've gone on saying to exhaustion, T-Wolves aren't breaking it up, so it's a moot debate). I also don't have confidence Thibs will suddenly change his play book to take full advantage of KAT. And frankly, if your 7 foot shooter isn't hitting his shots, his 60 mil price tag is deadweight because he's not really contributing in many other ways.

Part of what makes Randle so infuriating to watch is that we’ve never had a capable backup for him. So we’re forced to watch more of bad_randle.
I’m very certain if we can find a legit backup that can pin Randle’s minutes to 34-36 a lot of people’s complaints will go away.

I’m not sure if I agree or what this means but he’s literally played between that for like 3 years straight.

That was the whole idea behind Obi and we saw how that went. Thibs played Randle anyway. U can say Obi wasn't legit but name someone better. Thibs didn't even play Precious in the playoffs without Randle.

Can we also figure out a way for them to add Lauri or John Collins in the deal for Randle?
So we get J.Clarkson and one of Lauri or Collins.

Re: Trades and Transactions Ideas Thread
I think Knicks are going to run it back and make a trade by the same time they got OG. And will be picks and Bogs.
People need to get real with Randle trades, dude was atrocious in the start of the season, shooting 20% and still managed to end up with 24ppg. He was bullying teams before the injury. I just don't see how u trade Randle and get better, the players that would make that scenario a thing aren't being traded.

Hated it when rumors spoke of it during regular season. Hate it now. 29% 3P shooter and 41% from field for a non facilitating PG. Would be a true step backwards. No matter how cheap the contract.

What’s wrong with Precious? We’re only talking about 12-14 minutes. Someone who can play defense, rebound, and not make mistakes is all we need from Randle’s backup.

Come on down, young fella.
Either he's good in the NBA or he isn't but we have roster space and should at least get a look at our guy.

We should sent a contingent of representatives to meet with Rokas and see if they can convince him that it’s in his best interest to come to the Knicks.

Clarkson is known for having distaste to play defense.

I'd rather just resign Alec Burks for a helluva lot less dinero. Clarkson would drive Thibs crazy. Sexton, not so much. But I think we need some more length at the guard position. Then again ... But ...
